Visited the pub 2 nights in a row and both times the food was outstanding! The portions are big, the food is hot, presentation is good, and the food itself is very good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was good even though it was mid week! All round 10/10! Recommend to anyone!

I can't believe I overlooked a review for this incredible restaurant. We stayed down the road and thought that it looked good. Downstairs is a very traditional pub and there is a nightclub at the back.
Upstairs, however, is magical! I love the decor, really trendy but with lots of character. The service was first class all-round and very friendly.
I must say that the food was without fault, beautifully presented and unbelievably tasty.
I had a lobster bisque to start, which was extremely tasty, the best I'd had by far. My wife had the black pudding salad and said it was delicious.
For main she had the chicken, which was tender and succulent. I had the steak, which was full of flavour and perfectly cooked, delicious.
We both had the Baileys and Toblerone cheesecake and this is still the best dessert I have ever eaten in my life. I would eat it again and again and put on loads of weight, it is sublime. It's actually worth going just for that.
They also do wonderful teas and even their decaf Barry's tea was delicious.
A faultless meal, well worth €30 and I absolutely recommend it!!!

The Market Kitchen is an upscale eating establishment situated above a normal pub on the right bank of the River Moy, walking distance from the town centre. Since Ballina is the undisputed salmon capital of Ireland, the salmon dinner was delicious. But the sound system was too loud and too scratchy-sounding and too much Sinatra. We asked for it to be turned down, and they did comply.

Road trip through all of ireland and stopping in ballina to visit family. Had a wonderful steak, perfectly cooked. Fresh local fish and very welcoming to make any adjustments we wanted. Highly recommend.
