Stayed in Kilcommon Lodge on a recent cycle trip around the west of Ireland. Betty was very welcoming and cooked us a fantastic 3 course meal in the evening - best veggie lasagne I have tasted and she was happy for us to take the leftovers for our lunch the next day!

This hostel is amazing. Brilliant location with views, fantastic staff, really homely hostel. Felt so welcome, in this beautiful hostel. It's a great location for getting to the beach. There are Two nice pubs close by.

Beautiful located on the coast under a hill, this hostel has a super friendly and chilled out vibe.
On a recent trip to Ireland, a group of four of us rented boards and wet suits from the hostel and took a surf lesson with the owner, we enjoyed every minute of it. With a small group, we got all the attention we needed, much better than surf camps I have been on in Australia. The Guinness is well deserved after.
Nice clean hostel with great facilities.
Also ,there are lots of amazing coastal walks in this part of Ireland.
A must do for those seeking some outdoor adventure in Ireland.

It would be ideal to have your own transport.

This was the best hostel by far that I stayed in on my recent week in Ireland. It was in a fantastic location and was managed very efficiently. The rooms were lovely with plenty of room a sink and shelving. A small table and chair was a welcome addition. The kitchen facilities were very good with plenty of equipment. The shower and toilets were good. The whole place was very clean and well maintained. The price was amazing, such good value. I would not hesitate to stay there agin and I can hightly recommend it to anyone reading this!

Would recommend this place stayed here for two nights with a group of us, the hospitality was first class and great value for money, and nice coastal views of the Atlantic Ocean, the rooms were good, can stay in double bed singles or bunk beds sharing

Room tip: all rooms have there own style depending on group
