This review is a little late (we were there in August), but out of the four B&B's we stayed at during our vacation, this was definitely the best. Upon arrival John made sure we were well informed about the sites and restaurants in the area. Our room was perfect; comfortable and faced the back yard with a beautiful view of the mountains. The breakfast was delicious. We've tried to replicate the Bailey's porridge but have not figured out John and Camilla's secret recipe! While it is close to town, be careful after sundown, there is a stretch between town and the B&B with no side walk or street lamps; however, Camilla and John have reflector vests you can wear to be safe! I highly recommend stating here.

Camilla greeted us with a warm welcome with tea and biscuits when we arrived late in the afternoon after a long drive from Dublin that culminated with a flat tire during our trip over Conor Pass. She and John bent over backwards to locate a garage that could replace the tire before our drive back. The inn offers an enchanting view overlooking emerald fields to Dingle Bay, and is within walking distance the village and its shops and restaurants. The compact rooms are up-to-date, comfortable and clean, and breakfast was delicious. Camilla and John are lovely hosts who are eager to help make the most of your stay, including recommendations for restaurants, live music and the Slea Head drive.

Room Tip: The second floor front rooms offer a lovely view overlooking green fields and Dingle Bay.

We arrived late morning and John fixed biscuits and tea for us immediately before giving final touches to our room. Then he sat with us while mapping out our afternoon tour, emphasizing sites important to Brendan the Navigator who was a focus for us. Told us where to leave our laundry, where to eat. Camilla picked up our laundry the next morning as we did more touring. In between we had a lovely sleep in our immaculate room and a delicious breakfast visiting with 'new friends' as we savored a house specialty, Porridge with Irish Cream. If Service marks a top notch establishment and makes guests eager to return, John and Camilla have all the bits and pieces down pat. Our appreciation to each.

We spent 4 nights at Brownes and John and Camilla were exemplary hosts. Our second-floor room was clean, modern, and we had an unbeatable view of a pasture and Dingle Bay from our very large window.

We ate a different delicious breakfast each morning of our stay, and they were more than happy to accommodate my wife's non-dairy diet. Look through photos and you can see the attention to detail in their breakfast plates.

What really set John and Camilla apart for us was their warm hospitality and guidance. They told us when and where to hear the best live trad music in Dingle. Camilla helped us plan our drive around Slea Head Loop, telling us honestly what was worthwhile and what to skip.

Dingle was, by a wide margin, the highlight of our Ireland trip. I doubt we could have found a better B&B in Dingle or anywhere else.

Also, book your room directly if you can (email/phone), not through a website. You'll be glad you talked to them.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the rooms facing the bay. The view is incredible.
