“Real Irish b&b”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

This b&b is located right in front of ocean. We were arrived early, welcomed warmly by the host & allowed for early check in! He also gave us a detailed map and guided us where to go, eat & visit. Room was big, overlooking sheep & ocean from the room window is definitely gorgeous! Breakfast was good, we also tried oat cookies specially made for their son. We thought this is a lovely home, hosts tried really hard to please & accommodate their guests! This is a real Irish b&b, highly recommend!

After spending 11 days in B&B's across Ireland & Northern Ireland, we have to say our favorite stay was with Camilla in Dingle. She was not only a friendly & helpful host, but her Irish humor made her the most memorable of all of our hosts. The rooms are comfortable & clean, the breakfast was very good & the location was nicely positioned in the country but yet close enough to walk to town. Speaking of town, out of the 9 cities we stayed in on our trip, Dingle was our favorite. A beautiful small seaside village, but yet with plenty of very good dining choices full of local seafood & even more importantly a number of pubs with traditional live Irish music. This may seem like the norm in Ireland, however we found it quite difficult to find live Irish music in many of the towns we stayed in on our trip especially on weeknights. But not in Dingle, where we had multiple choices all night long on a Monday. As far as value, Browne's is an absolute steal for Ireland. Don't miss the chance to stay here. So make the trip to Dingle & take Camilla's fantastic advice as she told us Slea Head Drive was better than the Ring of Kerry & she was right!

The folks are very REAL and do enjoy their vocation of catering to others. They are so very helpful in every way from guiding you to their location by phone and pampering us upon arrival after a difficult day of travel. Refreshments are always offered and available, no matter what time of arrival. Camilla pointed us to the perfect spot for dinner (An Canteen!!) which was so delicious that we ate there again the next night.
Keep in mind that the rooms are not huge at this B & B but very clean and the bed comfortable. We used our Smartphone's white noise to mask any road noise or house noise and slept very well both nights we were there. The view is remarkable of Dingle Bay and sheep pastures.
John is as delightful and helpful as Camilla and both cooked and served delicious breakfasts. Their little boy was in the market for a puppy so we hope he got his pick!

We absolutely loved our say here. The b&b is located on the outskirts of Dingle. We never braved to walk into the town but taking a car to the town was never an issue. There is a huge parking lot near the tourist office and it is free after 6 pm and 1 euro per hour before then. However, the beautiful views from the b&b can not be beat. It overlooks a field with sheep and the harbor. It is simply picture perfect. Just like everybody else here, we found John and Camilla to be great hosts. They provided us with great recommendations for places to see and restaurants to try; fed us a tasty breakfast (I still daydream about my cheese platter and porridge with Baileys Irish cream); and they even had chocolate mints waiting for us in the room at night. Overall, this b&b was the best stay of our trip and i would highly recommend it to anybody traveling to Dingle.

The room was lovely with a good view and a nice comfy bed. On arrival, the owners were really welcoming and helpful - providing good guidance on where to eat, what to visit and how to make the most of our stay. It was also lovely to be greeted with a cup of tea and biscuits. The breakfast was fabulous - i had pancakes with loads of fruit and maple syrup. A perfect start to the day. After surfing, our hosts also allowed us to hang up our kit in their garage - which was much appreciated. A good time had all round.

The Browne's are one welcoming family! Our friends recommended we stay at the Browne's B&B. SO glad we took their advice. Our B&B bar is high is as we have stayed at at least a dozen over time. The Browne's know how to make your stay perfect.......I LOVED what the Browne B&B offered: a warm & personable welcome, good conversation, great food (LOCAL), comfy beds, family friendly and lovely location....OH and travel advice on where to go & how to get there! Camilla recommended a SUPERB local restaurant in town that we will never forget. Ask for yourself! Now go see the Browne's and have a great trip yourself in Dingle!

All of the reviews are true: John and Camilla are absolutely wonderful hosts, and their home is warm, spotless, and comfortable. They were extremely thoughtful in their suggestions of food, music and drink. When we arrived in early our first night from the town, John found us making LemSip for one of our fellow travelers down with a cold. Camilla insisted that John take the whiskey the rest of us were sipping for a hot toddy. John showed me how to make it the proper way, and my boyfriend slept like a baby that night! We all did. We woke up to a beautiful breakfast both mornings. We were thankful for the "torch" (flashlight) and reflective vests for a late night walk back to their home from town (about 15-20 minutes at a leisurely pace). We will be returning!!
