We stayed in the Captain's Room for two nights. The view onto the patio, flowers and water was lovely. We enjoyed having our tea at the small table in the room overlooking the water. The little touches of biscuits and cakes left outside our room were so welcoming. We enjoyed the guidebooks too! Tommy and Marianne were very nice and their recommendations about bike renting were very helpful. Sitting in the breakfast room using the binoculars to look over the water in the morning eating a delicious breakfast was a lovely experience.

We would stay here again.

Dingle has so much to offer and the Wildflower Cottage offers the best of both worlds. The beautiful view, the great location (a short walk to the town center), and amazing expertise of the hosts. Marianne will give you the scoop on where to go th hear a traditional music concert by local musicians, the best places for food, shopping and "craic" and artistic or cultural sights that are not listed in the tour guides. And Tommy makes a mean porridge! Although I only stayed here once, I have recommended it to many friends who have enjoyed their stay immensely.
Friends who have stayed in the little apartment say it was fabulous as well.

Dear Guest,

Re. Lovely little place to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you and we are delighted that you took such an interest in seeing Dingle from a native's point of view.

We make a special effort to stay updated on traditional concerts by local musicians, and to visit new local restaurants, shopping, artistic and cultural sights not listed in the tour guides so that we can pass these hints on to our guest. Thank you for mentioning this in your review.

It was very gratifying to hear somebody praise our Irish porridge and the beautiful view. We likes the fact that you didn't give away his secret ingredient.

We are grateful that you spent time in our B&B and we hope that you will visit us again soon.

With kindest regards,
Tommy and Marianne

We stayed there for just one night, nevertheless we had a very warm welcome from the owners, Marianne and Tommy, who did everything to make us feel at home. The place is clean, nice, and wonderfully located in the centre of Dingle, right on the waterfront. The owners are warm and very friendly, and they decorated the rooms wonderfully, in a beautiful variation of shades of blue, which go very well with the view of the bay. Breakfast was great, served in a room upstairs, which was also warm and cosy, with Irish music in the background, and we were also able to have a look at the bay at the same time. I definitely recommend it!

My wife and I visited Tommy and Marianne during our honeymoon over New Years (December 2011). They were so nice and their cottage was absolutely charming. It is a really close walk to all the main pubs in town and it has a gorgeous view, great patio and even a sun room. We didn't really eat the breakfast because we were always waking up too late after being at the pubs so late. It was so nice, and affordable too. We want to go back there someday!

A really lovely place to stay. We were greeted by Marianne who gave us a map of town and made sure we were settled. We were made very welcome and throughly enjoyed our stay.

The location could not be better, right on the water and a very short walk to the middle of town (5 minutes max).

Breakfast was lovely...we sat overlooking the bay with another couple and enjoyed a wonderful home cooked meal.

Parking was not a problem, just up a side street across from the B&B.

Mariannce even waited and waved us off as we drown past when leaving for our next stop.

Thanks Marianne for a wonderful stay.

The location of the cottage is ideally located a short walk from the centre of town and backs onto a harbour side walkway. Although there was some confusion over our booking we were made welcome by Tommy and Marie-Anne, and stayed in the Captain's Cabin. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless clean. Breakfast was very good and served upstairs in a room overlooking the bay, adjacent to the kitchen and serving area. My girlfriend sat in the cat's chair and was able to admire spectacular views of the changing light on Mount Eagle, and I could see over to the mouth of the harbour and beyond to the sea. Our host Marie-Anne served us breakfast and shared stories with us without imposing in our enjoyment of what is a sublime setting. Dingle is a lively town, amidst a beautiful landscape, which is thankfully not over developed with great bars, shops and restaurants.

My husband & I arrived in Dingle about halfway through our honeymoon in Ireland. We stayed in the Wildflower apartment for 2 nights & it was gorgeous! Tommy greeted us & provided a map of the local area & a few pub recommendations. I've read a few negative reviews about the bathroom location & distance from town & so I wanted to address these issues. The bathroom is across the hall from the apartment (which we knew ahead of time from reading reviews). This didn't bother us AT ALL & we definitely still felt it was extremely accessible & private. But I feel this is a preference thing - so if you know it would bother you, then stay somewhere else. Also, the walk to town is not only easy & convenient, it's really only about a 5-minute walk, in my opinion. So I'm not sure what the issue is there.

Personally, we loved staying here & it was so nice to have the adorable little kitchen for our use. We started by heading to the TruValue to stock up on groceries & then just made food & snacks, instead of eating out. It was more cost-effective. We also enjoyed their selection of movies - I know you think you won't want to watch tv while on vacation, but when we came home exhausted from a day of exploring Slea Head, it was lovely to chill out together & watch "The Quiet Man" in "our" apartment.

Marianne actually said the morning that we left, that she hoped we didn't feel they were rude by not checking in more, but that they knew we were on our honeymoon. I thought that was thoughtful & we did appreciate the privacy :). We will definitely stay w/Tommy & Marianne the next time we're in Dingle & absolutely adored them & the town.

Room Tip: I suggest staying in the apartment because it's just so charming & romantic :)
