Reviewed March 27, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed with our three children under 12 and everyone had a ball. The house has everything, all you need bring is food and towels. Joanna was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you.

This was my second time to avail of this property. The property is ideal and Joanna and Ciaran are thorough, easy-going and thoughtful. This year, i mentioned to Joanna that my grand child would be joining us. Upon our arrival a high chair and play-pen had been installed! The property is literally 100 metres from a magnificent beach, is close to an excellent linls golf course, and is in the heart of a gaelic speaking area. All of these seemed almost tailored to meet my needs. I look forward to visiting 'Le Cheile' in the future.

“Another perfect stay”

We have just returned from another perfect stay at Le Cheile. We have stayed there for many years now and hope to do so for many more. We are now 2 adults and 3 children, and this year my sister, her husband and their 2 small children stayed with us. The house was well equipped to deal with us.

Years ago we stayed in a nearby self catering let, but we think Le Cheile is better; We haven't looked back. There are no houses to obstruct views to the sea (last house on the road) but the views are really 360 degrees here.
An Béal Bán Beach is but a 200 Metre stroll and has been awarded the Green Coast Award for 2015.

The house is on a substantial lawned plot with ample parking to front.
Inside, the curious arrangement of upstairs lounge separated from a kitchen dining area downstairs works brilliantly in context of a family. These rooms are stocked with a stove and fireplace but we have never required their use as the house is warm. The lounge upstairs comes with a growing DVD/Video library with plenty of junior material to allow adults R&R chill time downstairs. The kitchen has everything we need, particularly wrt pots, pans, cutlery and cooking apparatus. A utility room off the kitchen (with Dutch half door) houses plant, clearly marked heating controls, storage presses and microwave.
A wash machine and dryer takes pressure of the suitcase load!

We could write chapters on the area itself -our Summers would not be complete without a stay in this precious part of West Kerry.

Our final note relates to our hosts, Joanna and Ciaran. They have always made us feel so welcome. They continue to make improvements to the house and grounds and we always arrive to find a clean house with freshly made beds -much appreciated after the long drive from Dublin.

We would recommend this house to all.

“Ideal Summer House”
Reviewed August 21, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Le Cheile is the ideal summer house - 5 minutes to the beautiful beach (Beal Ban), wonderful views of the sea and the mountains, in a peaceful location.
I have been renting this summer house for many years now and the fact that I keep going back speaks for itself. Joanna and Ciaran are great to deal with and friendly and welcoming when we arrive.
The house is comfortable, cosy but with plenty of space (4 bedrooms). It's a short drive to Ballyferriter village where there are two shops for basic provisions and newspapers, pubs for music and craic and even a Museum with a little cafe.

“location and accommodation excellent”
Reviewed August 9, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

we spent the first fortnight of june in the Le Cheile holiday home in Gorta Dubha, near Basllyferriter
The house is located less than ten minutes walk from Beal Ban strand which is very safe for children
The house itself is relatively new and is equipped with all "mod. cons"
The owners have obviously gone to considerable trouble in decorating the house
There is a first floor sitting/tv room with beautiful views of the sea and of the Brandon range of mountains on the horizon
The sitting room contains a wood burning stove which heats the room very quickly and was much appreciated on the cooler nights

“Location doesn't get much better than this!”
Reviewed August 2, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

I often visit this house when my parents rent it during the summer, so it seemed like the perfect place to celebrate my 30th birthday with some members of my family at the end of March this year. There is no beating the house for location - it is just a short stroll to the beach - and it's the last house on the road so there are amazing views.

There is plenty of space inside, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. And when the fog rolls in (as it often does!) you can light a cosy fire in the sitting room or the kitchen. I'd recommend it to any group or family looking for a low-key holiday away from a hectic, internet-driven city life.
