Stayed as a guest for a friends wedding and found it to be one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Rooms were very large, comfortable and clean. Staff just couldn't do enough for you. Even though there was over 100 people to look after every request was taken care of immediately and with a smile.
The house itself was immaculate and full of character with spectacular views across Dingle bay. Well worth the short walk down to the mouth of the bay for a few breathtaking photo opportunities.

Room Tip: All the rooms I saw were nice

We had our wedding here last month, and I'm struggling to find words to describe it - none of the words I'm coming up with are good enough!
The venue is just fabulous - it really gave the whole day a great relaxed atmosphere. We've seen some of the photos from the wedding already, and the venue really makes them - they look so classic, so old world and stunning. In the sun, it has clear views out across the bay - and in misty weather it has a haunting beauty.

John was amazing to deal with all the way up to the wedding - so incredibly dedicated!! We had some very different ideas for what we wanted to do, and he was great for input as to what would and wouldn't work based on his experience. It was never a flat no - always very willing to do anything we wanted, but giving us so much great advice that really made sense, and it really made the preparations so stress-free!!
My parents spend most of their free time in Dingle, and they were just charmed when they bumped into John one day, and he had photos on his phone, saved to show them some ideas!

Our room was epic. We had a standalone bathtub and views out across the bay, and out across the path to the self-catering accommodation next door (where the majority of our extended family stayed so I could watch them all running in and out getting ready while i was getting the hair & makeup done!).

John let us have the run of the place - and I remember some of our guests telling us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, because they could do what suited them best - we had groups sitting in one of the rooms by the fire catching up, groups out having a blast with the photo booth in the back bar/sweet bar, dancing in by the band - they loved it!

John and his entire staff are just amazing - we really had the time of our lives, and they ran a flawless weekend. Everyone was so friendly, so cheerful and accommodating. From the moment we stepped through the door a year and a half ago to view the house, they've made us feel like family - so warm and welcoming, they are truly such great people to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I felt soo spoilt all weekend!!

And the food!! Oh, the food!!! I'm a foodie anyway, and we'd gone to the Sunday Lunch there so we knew the quality was top notch but... oh, wow.. did they impress us all weekend!!! We had a meal for the 12 of us in the bridal party on the Friday night in Ballintaggart - my mouth's watering just remembering it a month later. I think I've fallen in love with their crab cakes (soo good!!) and the steaks that just melted in our mouths. The BBQ wedding feast went down a massive hit with all the guests - they were still talking about it after we came back from honeymoon!

My parents have a house in Dingle, so we're down very regularly.. so it says a lot that we plan to come back specifically to Ballintaggart to stay there again next year

Room Tip: All the rooms here are stunning - but if you ask for the rooms with the standalone baths, they'v...

I attended a family wedding at Ballintaggart on 6/7th August.. It was truly amazing. John and his wonderful staff could not do more for us. The smallest of detail is taken care of with a smile and warmth that is second to none. It is also a wonderful place to stay, so whether it is a wedding, or just a short break, Ballintaggart is the place. Christine

Had the pleasure of attending a family wedding here and was very impressed by John, the owner/manager, and his wonderful team who did everything to make this a very enjoyable day. As an added bonus the food served during the champagne reception and during the main meal was superb. In addition to the main house there is self catering accommodation a short walk from the house and while I can't personally vouch for it everyone who stayed seemed to be very impressed. Ideal location for an intimate wedding or similar celebration.

We hosted our wedding at the Ballintaggart House. The attention to detail, love and generosity shown to us by John and his staff was immeasurable. They took care of all of our guests like their own family, helped with every small question and made us all feel so welcome. The food at the wedding was mind blowing-- our local Kerry guests gave it a 10 out of 10 and all of our friends from New York City were astounded by the quality and presentation. Even hosting a wedding for 80, 60 of whom were traveling from the states, I did not at any point feel anxious or stressed because every detail was taken care of. I would HIGHLY recommend a stay, a meal or holding a wedding at the Ballingtaggart House. It will be a stay we will treasure for our entire lives!!

This was one of our favourite stays in Ireland last Summer. The house and its views are simply stunning....a different world. But the best was the hospitality from the owner John, the incredible breakfast and the comfy bed. We had a great time in Dingle and this is one place we will return to. We had a good look around the house, there is alot of history there and it makes you feel like gentry staying there. It is not in Dingle town but only a short taxi ride away, a few minutes and the taxi came quite quickly. Highly recommend this one fellow travellers.
