“great stay”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

A friend and I stayed at Harbour Nights 14 and 15 June. The room was very clean, great shower and breakfast was excellent. Kathleen and her mother were very welcoming. We had to leave early Saturday moring and Kathleen fixed us a "to go" bag with yogurt, a roll and fruit. I would definitely stay here again.

Harbour Nights B&B would not be on my top B&B list for Ireland...compared to the other B&B I have visited so far this was the worse.

Positive:
- parking available
- wifi Internet
- walking distance from the city center
- nice view (if you are on the first floor)

Negative:
- smell from kitchen in the morning
- not very well sound isolated (could hear the people in the room upstairs)
- bathroom is not dirty but not top stop notch
- no room amenities offered compared to other B&B in the same price range
- the girl at the reception could not really speak any proper English (nor Irish for that matter)

So overall I would not recommend this B&B

We stayed three nights with Kathleen and Sean and had a wonderful time. We used the guest room for reviewing pictures on the flat screen TV, and had three tasty breakfasts. During our day spent exploring Dingle we left our car parked in the lot. It's just a short walk to the center of town.

The place was full all three nights and we had no problems at all with the hot water supply.
We would definately stay again, next time we travel to Dingle. The bonus was discovering a new book, The House on an Irish Hilside, by local author Felicity Hayes-McCoy.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms facing the water provide the best views. We actually had a first floor room that...

Excellent B&B. Clean, comfortable and good food. Great location. The owner, Kathleen Lynch, and her mom could not have been more helpful or friendly. Kathleen was especially engaging. My room and the view from the dining room overlooked Dingle Bay. Kathleen provided excellent recommendations regarding restaurants and side trips. I would definitely return.

Room Tip: rooms on the Bay side are lovely.

Harbour Nights B & B is great!! Kathleen is so friendly, funny, and very efficient. She is on top of everything. We liked that the location of this B & B is easy walking distance to town of Dingle. The B & B has free wifi and parking. Dingle is a great town to visit. And, we loved the breakfasts.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water.

We loved the location and the views when we were checking the place out. We started to have second thoughts when we smelled the lobby, and had to leave when we felt the bed. The room was on the smaller side and the flies did not help. If you can afford it go see John at Pax's Guest House.

Our group of 4 stayed in 6 different locations across southern Ireland. Harbour Nights was one of the BEST. Located right on the bay, in the heart of Dingle - it is the perfect location. We had 2 rooms, both were spotless! The cleanest rooms we stayed in over 2 weeks. Kathlean is down to earth, funny and does everything she can to accommodate her guests. It is a family run business and they treat their guests like long lost relatives without intruding in anyway. They will direct you to local sites, tell you the best pub and the best food. You are a 5 minute walk to all that is Dingle. On site parking and very nice views of the harbour. One of our rooms had a balcony where I spent most of my time in the B&B just taking in the views. When you visit Ireland, especially Dingle, you want to take in the people of Ireland - they are what makes the trip memorable. The landscape of Ireland - You MUST do the Slea Head Drive - will stay with you for a lifetime!

Room Tip: Ask for a 2nd floor balcony room - if it's available, it will have the best views!
