“A Walking Guide filled with wonder and enthusiasm”
Reviewed December 6, 2011

Colm Bambery took us on two different walking tours (Mt. Eagle and the Pilgrim Route (19K)) and helped us see the Dingle Peninsula in ways that we would have experience on our own. He has genuine love of Ireland and this region in particular. His understated knowledge of the history, architecture, and ruins were shared with a freshness that seemed that he had just learned about it the previous week.
As a testimony to his "beginner's eyes" at the conclusion of the Pilgrim Route we came upon a petroglyph that he had never seen and resembled ones we had seen at Newgrange. Subsequent investigation have tentatively authenticated it to 3,000BC.

“The Best Way to See Dingle!”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

Colm gave me a personal tour of some of the ancient archaeological sites around Dingle. He is very knowledgable and very nice to talk to. This really is the best way to see Dingle, and the next time I'm there, Colm will be the first person I call. If you're going to be in Dingle, you really must have him show you around.

“Colm helps you understand the culture of the area”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

We chose to go on a tour of the area to understand the culture. Colm, recommended by our hotel, did this brilliantly. We visited some old dwellings built to provide primitive shelter, and then explored other sites until we came to the Gallarus Oratory. Through this, you can see how the Oratory, magnificent in itself, was the continuation of a tradition of building in the area. The Dingle scenery is inspiring, and the view to the Skellig Islands helped make this one of the highights of our Irish holiday.

We recommended Colm to my parents who visited the area shortly after and recommend him to you too.

“Colm (the tour guide) was the highlight of our trip to Ireland”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

If you want to feel like a local, go to places regular people never get to, get great advice on where to go, and see the most amazing sights in Ireland, use this tour. We found Colm because he was related to the owner at our hotel (the Bambury guest house) and he was recommended to us. He was waiting at our hotel after he knew we were scheduled to arrive. He immediately took us on the sleigh head tour. In the days that followed, he took us to a hidden lake in a mountainside, up and down hillsides and mountains that had some of the most amazing views in all of Ireland. He was our hired driver and tour guide and introduced us to locals and made all of the best recommendations of where to go, what to do, what to eat, and what to enjoy. I honestly cannot thank this man enough for making my trip to Ireland once in a lifetime. When I go back to Ireland, I will go to Dingle and call Colm and have another great adventure. A wonderful man that will show you a wonderful time in a wonderful place :)
