“Massively overrated”
Reviewed January 6, 2008

Having read numerous positive reviews of Doyles online and in guide books we were extremely disappointed with Room 9. Decor was tired and grubby. Bathroom tiles were almost falling off in places and grout was mouldy. No satellite TV as advertised. Breakfast distinctly average. Final straw was when the hot water system broke down for a few hours on the morning we were due to leave. Thankfully the owners saw fit to reduce our tariff as a result. However, still overpriced for what we received. Reception lounge area was only redeeming feature - nice and cosy. Despite all this loved Dingle. Would highly recommend Out of the Blue for dinner and Dick Mac's for authentic Irish pub experience.

We found Doyle's in Karen Brown's Ireland book and decided to book a room. Although my husband found our room (#8) ok, I did not. The "double" room was two twin beds pushed together. What was the worst was in the evening I decided to take a quick shower, but the water was just a trickle from the shower head. The towels were also thread-bare. I gave up on the shower and we decided to go to dinner there. It was great...food was good and so was the service. After dinner we went to a local pub for music and that was nice. the next morning I thought that my 'shower" would just be washing my face in the basin, but my husband got the shower going and said hurry and get in while the water is hot and there is some pressure. We headed down for breakfast and it was good. I would go back to Doyle's for the food, but would not stay there again.

DOYLES.
The owners on the premises, pleasant & helpfull staff.
The rooms are individually decorated, and the food is excellent
Long may you continue Charlotte & John.

We stayed here for two days in June 2007 and would have happily stayed for two weeks! Best breakfast of our entire hoiday. Delightful staff and superb room. The pubs of Dingle are two minutes away and the whole stay was exellent. Some food smells in the common parts but it is a fish restaurant after all and didnt come into the room. Nice residents lounge with lots of interesting furnishings, pictures etc. Dingle itself is well worth visiting

A fun little B&B right on the street in the heart of Dingle. We had the top floor which was very quaint, but that didn't keep the noise out, we would go back but likely ask for a room off the street.

This review is long over due. I had the pleasure of staying at Doyle's during the August Bank Holiday weekend. Myself and my friend were greated upon arrival, escorted to our room and given the ins and out's of Dingle. It was our first trip to Dingle and found this information very helpful. We decided to have dinner our first night in the Seafood Restaurant. It was wonderful. The fish was a fresh as could be, and prepared with the greatest of flavors.

This is a family run operation and you feel very much like a guest of the family when you are staying there. Now that I remember they made everyone feel welcome regardless if you were staying there or not. Don't be dissapointed and make your reservations in advance.

I work in the industry, and at times I feel we can be the most critical when we are on holiday. I cannot find falt with Doyle's as they truly demonstrate hospitality at it's finest.

Doyle's is a nice B&B with a nice staff and good breakfast. However, its location makes rooms in the front prone to street noise and noise from passers by and rooms in the back get noise from the bar next door. Don't plan on a good nights sleep and you will be okay.
