“Very Happy Customer”

We are currently staying in the Heaton's Guesthouse. I just read the remarks from Houston, TX. Is this the best B and B in the world? I don't know. But what I can tell you is that my family is very happy with the food, service and the rooms. So far in our two week trip, we have four days to go, this is the best place we have stayed at. The Heaton's also own the Castlewood next door in case this this one is booked. There are hundreds of B and B in Dingle and without a doubt this is one of the better ones. We recently stayed at five star Earls' Courthouse in Killarney. We also liked that place very much. But if I had two choose between the two, I would go with Heaton's.

Had a wonderful enjoyable experience at Heatons guesthouse recently over a weekend. Service and accommodation was top notch. Breakfast was amazing. The guesthouse is located less than 5 minute walk to the town centre. Could not fault the establishment except on price which was expensive for a B&B. However in general in Dingle I found prices extremely high for everything.

Heaton's Guesthouse was the best of the places we stayed on our trip to Ireland. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The breakfasts were delicous with a buffet as well as many menu items from which to choose. The porridge with Drambuie and eggs with smoked salmon were favorites. The guesthouse is just a short walk to the shopping in Dingle. All of this and the warm hospitality of the host made for a wonderful stay in Dingle.

We had a nice stay at Heaton's, no more, no less. There was certainly nothing wrong with our stay, though--and I hate to type it--we were a little confused by the reviews referring to it as the best bed and breakfast in the world. I would certainly say it was nice (and Dingle is wonderful), but nothing made it stand out among other places we have stayed and liked in Ireland and elsewhere. That being said, we HAVE stayed at the best B&B in the world (Honu Kai in Hawaii), which is an unfair comparison for all the rest. The best parts of Heaton's: INCREDIBLE breakfast, good location to Dingle town or to explore the peninsula. The not as good: was very loud to me as other people came in and out of their rooms (I used earplugs in am and pm and slept better) and not very much personal contact from the owners. Felt more like a hotel than a B&B to me. Recommended for sure, but with slightly lowered expectations.

This is a very comfortable place to stay on the Dingle peninsula just a stroll from the town centre. Wonderful breakfasts with a view of the bay plus a cozy lounge area to relax in. This is one of the nicest places I have stayed in Ireland. Highly recommended!

This guesthouse is more like a mini-motel, but a very good one! The lodging was above average and the food was exceptional (won many awards for it). It’s a bit pricey but if you like good food and plenty of it (like being on a cruise), all sourced locally or homemade, it’s worth it—all kinds of homemade breads, jams, bread pudding, dry cereals, fruit and on and on. After that, there’s an expanded menu of assorted hot breakfasts. There are several very attentive waitresses to take your order and make sure you’re supplied. The host, Jackie, was quite pleasant and very helpful if you needed directions or ideas for places to go. The house is located a 5-minute walk from the small town of Dingle. We found the accommodations to be quiet and quite comfortable. The house is across the road from the end of the bay right off the main road on the outskirts of town (very small town). Parking is sufficient.

Dingle was our first stop on our first trip to Ireland. We arrived at Heaton's straight from the Shannon Airport at 10:30am, famished and tired. Although we were hours ahead of check-in time, the owner welcomed us and made us feel like family immediately, and invited us to share in the breakfast spread. He also gave us great tips on exploring the area, including a concert that evening at the Dingle Music Shop (which turned out to be the highlight of the trip). The view is beautiful, the B&B well appointed and comfortable, and everything is as you would expect for a nice B&B. What distinguished Heaton's from all others was the hospitality and the incredible breakfasts (best ever on any trip at any B&B). We would come back to Dingle just to stay here again.
