“A little gem - with amazing staff”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

We only called in to have lunch and we were so impressed by the warm welcome and homely feel, we decided to book in for one evening but ended up staying for two lovely nights. The welcome from the front desk is one off the best we've ever expereniced in all the hotels we've stayed in - a special thank you to Breda who went over and beyond to help with all we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday evening, it was very busy but this didn't harbour the high level of service we recieved from Greg and his team. The food was fantastic and complimented by an extensive wine list, which we made the most off. Our room was one of the standard rooms on the first evening and after speaking with Rosarii the following morning at breakfast, which was outstanding, she offered us an upgrade to one of their executive suites over looking the bay if we decided to stay on - what could we say, only yes!! So she put the wheels in motion and also advised us on some of the hot-spot restaurants in Dingle for the Sunday evening. So back to reception and our new friend Breda helped arrange our room move and our dinner reservation. The Executive Suite was beautiful and the added touches could learn some 5 Star properties a thing or two. Nothing is a problem to any of the staff here which was lovely, and everyone was friendly. The hotel is immaculately clean, both our rooms could not be faulted. Unfortunately the weather in Dingle at this time of year wasn't the best - but you can't have it all. This did stop us from heading out on Sunday evening to our dinner reservation up the town, but as the hotel restaurant is so good we didn't mind. So another great evening was had in the restaurant with Greg looking after us - thanks Greg! So if your planning a little break away, look no further. Thanks again guys - we are already planning our return trip soon, A&C

Room Tip: Pay the extra and book one of the executive suites over looking the bay - pure bliss!!

My wife and I spent last weekend at the Dingle Skellig Hotel with my daughter, son in law and two grandsons. It was not my first time staying there and certainly will not be my last. The facilities for young children and first class which ensures they are never bored and can spend time swimming, in the games room or in the creche.

The bedrooms are most comfortable and there are a number of relaxing lounges for the adults.

The bar and restaurants are top class with varied menus to suit every taste. I have to say that the breakfast on offer was one of the best I have ever eaten. Rosarii and her staff were most friendly and professional in the breakfast room. Looking forward to the next visit.

I loved sitting in the hot tub, looking down on seagulls flying while looking out over Dingle bay, while hailstones hopped off my head - a really novel experience! The food was good, room very pleasant. I wish we had realised it would be half term when we booked - the small child quotient was very high - - I think families must love this hotel.

Room Tip: As k for a room overlooking the bay - and 2nd or 3rd floor. ( less children)

We stayed here for a few days recently. From being greeted by Caron at reception to the moment we left, we found the staff excellent.
The food was great, excellent breakfasts in particular. The hotel has lots of quite comfortable seating areas to relax, with fireside chairs etc.
The room was very comfortable, excellent plumbing and free wifi, so all boxes ticked. We would certainly go back for the comfort, service, food and value.

An experience that definitely needs repeating. Booked a mid week break through one of the supermarket websites and honestly did not really know what to expect. Excellent breakfast that offered a very large range of choices, dined in the restaurant just once, our dinner menu quite limited but that was part of the Value Menu deal. Very helpful friendly staff who could not do enough for you. Really liked the idea of so many areas where you could go to relax and read . Did not get a chance to use the leisure facilities but plan to do so on return. Bedrooms warm and comfortable, and no skimping of the quality of towels. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed here Sunday 16th February for one night, absolutely wonderful, the staff are all great, and the food is excellent, we had a lovely dinner in the Coastguard Restaurant and the best choice of breakfast I have encountered from our travels. I don't particularly like a cooked breakfast and sometimes find the choice for the buffet unexpiring, but the Skellig breakfast was great. All in all a great choice of hotel, will definitely be back in better weather to fully enjoy the views.
