Hotel from the outside is a little outdated. Room for family of 2+2 are a little tight. Service and amenities for kids/teens are great. Had to look for the kids. Food is very good but breakfast is the best I have ever had. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, nothing here is a problem.
Cannot wait to go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Maybe upgrade. We only realised there were better rooms available on checking out

The Dingle Marina Cottages are operated by the Skellig Hotel. Our initial reaction upon arrival was a little off-putting. We arrived in Dingle on Bus Eireann and discovered that we had quite a long walk to reach the Skellig Hotel, toting luggage, to check in. We knew that the cottages were near the marina, not near the hotel, but we didn't really appreciate that they were at virtually opposite ends of town. However, reservations desk personnel were gracious enough to have a staff member drive us with our bags over to the cottages. We walked into a really beautiful vacation home, very clean and inviting. We stayed there quite happily for two weeks. No one came to check on us, but that's just how we like it. If we had had a problem with our accommodations, believe me, hotel staff would have been informed. At the end of our first week, I walked into another cottage being cleaned after guest departure and asked the cleaning woman if she would please give us towels and bath tissue for our second week. She immediately complied, taking the used towels away with her. She asked if we wanted any other services, but we declined. Although checkout procedures called for leaving the keys back at the Skellig Hotel, because we were taking the bus out of town, we thought schlepping our luggage to the bus stop was going far enough without the additional trek back to the hotel. When we left the cottage, we locked it up securely and tossed the keys back inside through the mail slot. We're sure the cleaning folks found them. Bottom line...our next stay in Dingle we will definitely stay at the Dingle Marina Cottages again.

Dingle quite limited in its choice of hotels- it's either Dingle Bay hotel- rooms are mroe like student accomodation or the Skellig, which is fine but for the price- they seem to be living off the success fo the past. An old hotel but very friendly staff and comfortable rooms- chose 316 if youc an,standard room but superb view- we could see Fungi from our room. bathrooms are dated but shower has good strength. GReat breakfast- super place for families, lots of nooks and crannies to read and chill out on a wet day. Pool for kids really not for adults. Spa is good but not best. Badly needs signage out on the road, sign leads you into a guest house at the top of the road. Bar is so unappelaing, we came back from dinner for a nightcap and decided to leave as it was so bright and truelly non inviting- caters for families well.

Room Tip: 316 standard room price on same floor as suites so smae view as suites for less. ; )

I could not decide between a 3 and a 4 for this hotel. It should really be a 3 1/2!!! Only because it had two major downsides. Firstly, the rooms are very dated like other reviewers have said and the wi-fi was horrible which made it hard for one in our group who needed to work a little each day. The other side of the story is that you have sweeping views of the Dingle Bay to look out on at the restaurant and bar. Riding into Dingle along the water was truly one of the most beautiful drives I have ever taken. Back to the Skellig, the staff was as everyone has said deserving of 5 stars. The pool was awesome as we had a small child with us. The breakfasts were great and the bar was certainly adequate. If they would work on updating and on the wi-fi this place would truly be 5 stars!

Just back from a two day stay here for a conference. Everything was perfect. Although not the newest if hotels it made up for it in cleanliness and service! Breakfast was plentiful and incredibly tasty and the spa was great and very much appreciated!

The conference dinner that we had was the best catering I have ever tasted!

Thanks for a very enjoyable stay!!

I had the privelege of visiting this hotel last week on a tour through part of Ireland.
Great location, within a short walk to the downtown centre. Clean, comfortable rooms.
An amazing view of the bay from the dining room. The dinner meal was amazing (especiially the seafood chowder)with compliments to the chef. Breakfast buffet had an abundance of selection and the coffee was very good.
I wish that i would have brought my bathing suit along to use the swimming pool and rec centre. I would highly recommend to anyone who is travelling to Dingle!
