“Best Tour Ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

We felt lucky to get seats on this excellent tour of Dingle just before it ended for the fall season. We had planned on driving ourselves around until other guests at our bed & breakfast told us they had booked the archeology tour raved about in various guidebooks. We quickly nabbed seats. This may have been the best 20 euro (each) investment we made during our trip to Ireland.

Retired Dingle police chief Tim Collins picked us up at our b&b and gave us nearly 3 hours of his time as he drove us around the incredibly scenic Slea Head Drive. We stopped and saw archeological sites up close. Tim gave us great insight into the views we were seeing, the people who live (and used to live) there and the films made in the area. The time flew by, and we learned so much. Plus, with the narrow, windy roads, we were happy to be passengers in Tim's comfy van with him at the wheel.

“This beats getting lost on your own to pieces!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

We tried a bit on our own. Then we arranged this tour. It was fun, without the anxiety of driving ourselves on the narrow roads on the left side (strange and sometimes terrifying for us Yanks). Tim was informative and good-humored. I'd recommend doing this first before venturing out in your own vehicle.

“OUTSTANDING!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

Taking Tim Collins' tour of the Dingle Peninsula was a major highlight of a fabulous week in Ireland. My sister and I knew that we should not try to drive in Ireland but feared that not having a car to see Slea Head and Gallarus, etc., would be a real loss. Tim's tour, in a small van with a small group, definitely changed our minds about missing out on any sights. His knowledge is vast and his narratives are interesting, entertaining, and thorough. Dingle Town is a delight but everyone who has at least a half a day there should not miss the Sciuird Tour. And our tour was on a very rainy day!!! I can only imagine what this would be like when the weather is better.

“Should top your To Do list for Dingle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

We were fortunate to get on the first possible tour with Tim with fewer tourists in September. Not sure why it didn't even appear on the list of Trip Advisor attractions; that's concerning. Once I entered the name I now see three other 5 star reviews. Tim shares his wealth of knowledge in an easy, conversational style, and more than once we were very glad he was driving instead of us as tour buses came from the opposite direction on very narrow curving roads. Drop by the Collins Kirrary B&B at Dykesgate and Grey's Lane, or call 066/915-1606 to sign up for a tour.

“the best of Dingle peninsula”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

It took a couple of days to book our tour with Tim Collins as his tour was full each day. It was so worth the wait. A wonderful way to see the best of Dingle peninsula and all it has to offer. He is the perfect guide having lived his life in the area and is a wealth of information. It is a small tour in a van, not a big tour bus. The Slea Head loop was breathtaking and the stops along the 2 1/2 hour tour at the many sites were informative and so interesting. This amazing tour is not to be missed. One of the highlights of our Dingle stay
