Walking into the room, we thought it was quite clean. HOWEVER, what a shock to discover when crawling into bed that night that the duvet had probably not been washed in eons! The smell of other people's body sweat and lotions was overpowering. We flipped the comforter, foot to head, to get away from the filth. On top of that, there was no hot water after 9:30 p.m. so we had cold showers. Breakfast was abysmal. Coffee weak. Fruit plate was dry, having been cut up the night before, I'd guess. Worst bed and breakfast we stayed at. In fact, the ONLY one that was like this. Thank goodness it wasn't our first one or we would have been terrified to continue our journey............We did love Ireland, however, and had a truly wonderful experience at all other b&b.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fiuise B&B! The rooms are cozy and cared for and the house itself is a short walk to Dingle, which is a gem. The service and breakfast were exceptional as well. My only concern was that the bed could have used a few more pillows and was a little on the stiff side (read: sore back the next day!) This could be a preference though as I like softer beds. Overall we enjoyed our time at the Fiuise!

Beds: Comfortable but the hosts had put a plastic mattress protector on the bed which made it hot and clammy.
Shower: excellent power but each time it was used it ran scalding and then cold and was difficult to keep it at a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast: Was OK. "Orange juice" was just orange squash. An effort was made with presentation but the spread was some kind of tasteless margarine rather than butter. The french toast and maple syrup was nice. Portions a little on the small side perhaps.
Rooms: Nice, spacious, clean, true to the pictures on the website, lovely wooden furniture and plenty of storage space.
Hospitality: Our hosts appeared to go through the motions of being interested in how our stay was going rather than there being any real interest? Perhaps this was just their style. Donal did offer to run us into town when he saw we planned to walk. He also directed us to relevant leaflets when we expressed an interest in particular activities for the day. As we left however we paid and were shown the door. We were not asked how we found our stay which I found an odd omission.

This was definitely a weird experience compared with the other B&Bs we visited across Ireland. Had no interaction with the hostess expect for our arrival and departure. The host served our breakfast - that was it. The beds were rock-hard and the pillows the equivalent of a weeks worth of newspapers stuffed into a pillow case. Breakfast was minimal, not at all the sumptuous feast we read about on the internet. The beds were too close to the gable roof line and my daughter's head hit the overhang more than once. Finally, we were asked to pay with cash rather than using a credit card, which I thought was tacky. I declined. My impression was that this establishment was strictly business for the owners, without any of the pleasure.

My husband & I stayed here 2 nights ~ 4-5jun12 & enjoyed our stay. Donal & Eileen were wonderful hosts & we particularly enjoyed "Irish Fry Light" which others here seemed to take issue with. We had stayed in other B & B's & didn't consume half of the traditional Irish breakfasts that were served to us & found Fiuise's breakfast to be delicious & lighter than elsewhere. The accommodations were new & spacious. There was lots of closet to stash luggage & make ourselves comfy. We had a car, so the 5 mins to town were inconsequential. If we were to return to Ireland, we'd stay again...

Very well priced B&B and great location. It is a good 10 minute walk to town but what a beautiful walk it is. There is plenty of parking at the B&B and in the town so if you don't feel like walking thats fine too.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were not too comfortable but i have definitely slept in worse. The breakfast was tasty but there could have been more. Great fresh ground coffee.

Donal and Eileen were friendly and welcoming. I would stay again.
