“Superb food and a pleasant atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

This is a lovely cafe. It's only small but it's frequently full. You have a sense that you are being treated as a local. There's no excessive fuss to upset the tranquility here.

Breakfasts are excellent. I especially recommend the crepes. The wife of the owner-manager team is French, which is never a bad thing where food is concerned. The husband is a gentle Irishman (that will make his wife laugh) who likes to do a bit of surfing when things are quiet enough. They're both great for a chat actually. But let the food do the talking. Every meal I've had here has been excellent and the prices are cafe prices, not restaurant. Nicely unpretentious. Long may that last.

“Excellent in every way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

We spend every second in dingle and frequent the Goat Street Cafe on many occasions with our 2 Small children. The staff have a smile for us everytime, get baby chairs ready no matter how busy they are and to to it all off the food is excellent. Would have no problem recommending this restaurant.

“A Little Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2012

We found The Goat Stree Cafe on our fourth night in Dingle. What a delight. Superb food at a reasonable price and excellent service. The waitresses were friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and although kept incredibly busy, still made time to have a wee chat with all the customers.
We enjoyed it so much we returned the next night and once again had a fantastic meal.
If you are in Dingle, make sure you try this wonderful little hidden gem.

“My advise dont be late , the manager will shout at you !!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

As you would expect on a hen we were late arriving to the restaraunt to which we apologised and headed up to a pre arranged private room upstiars to find it was not private ,a couple were sitting over in the corner ..we headed over to one of the tables and our friends had dotted themselves around the room ,the manager came over to us and advised that this table was reserved and that we couldnt sit there ,we prompted her that we were the hen party that had arranged to have the room to which she added while being very aggressive and quiet loud ,do you know i could have of sold this room twice over while waiting for you to arrive ,to which we again apologised and reminded her that we told on her the phone earlier that we were going to be late but we didnt expect to 45mins to one hour late , She had made such a fuss that we could nt have that table that we were sitting at and i pointed out the tables to our right and said what about those and she responded ya there you can have those , Either way we all pushed the tables we were allowed have together and seated 20 of us very comfortiable all the while looking out to see if the table we had been vacated from would have customers which it did not , The manger had just come over to make the point that we were late , she upset us and it put an awkward air in the room and she was just being spiteful and rude .The food was only ok and im not just saying that becusse the manager was rude , it wasnt the best food and we all agreed with that , either way would not go there again and advised the b&b we were staying Iin not to send anyone over there and they were appauled by the way we were treated .The only upside was the waitresses we very attentive and very accomadating as we asked could they take our photos.

“The penne pasta was so DELICIOUS, I seriously thought I was in Italy. YUM!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

If you are even near Dingle, this is a GREAT place to eat. Unpretentious, small, very friendly and local. I loved to hear the locals chat it up.... The food was just DELICIOUS! I swear, the veggie penne pasta with the cream sause was to die for, out of this world. The stir fry prawns and chowder were excellent. They serve locally brewed beer which was a treat to try. Service was great, very attentive and friendly. I just wish we could go back for dinner and dessert, next time. Awesome place to eat and hang out!
