“Wonderful service and the food was excellent”
Reviewed September 17, 2010

I would definitely come here again to dine. Although it is a bit expensive, most of the restaurants that I came across in Ireland were comparable in price. The food is fresh and very nicely presented. The fish chowder was delicious and one of the best I have ever eaten!!We did not have reservations the first time we came here, so we put our name down and came the next night. So, if you are able to make reservations, do it a they are extremely busy. It is worth it. Todor from PAX House recommended this restaurant and he was right! This restaurant ranks at the top of all the places we ate at in Ireland.

“If you love seafood, you will love Out of the Blue!!”
Reviewed September 8, 2010

One word for this place: winner. Despite having a nicely chilled bottle of Prosecco spilled all over my wife by a server, this place was great. We laughed about the spill and, perhaps, got a little better service from it. The food was the BEST we had in Ireland without a doubt!! It has rightly deserved all the praise it has received by others. We live on an island ourselves and are pretty good judges of fresh seafood. We were not disappointed in the least!! I would definitely do this restaurant again. It was not an inexpensive place but the value and service justify at least one splurge while in DIngle. They do take reservations-- make them- otherwise you might be disappointed. Don't be deceived by the outside appearance- it is"cute and comfortable" inside. Dingle is a cool place to visit- take the boat trip out to the Blaskin Islands, eat at Out of the Blue and listen to some really great Irish music-- life is good.

“Everything a good restaurant should be”
Reviewed August 30, 2010

This is a treasure. A small unassuming blue building opposite the harbour reveals a small, relaxed informal restaurant serving delicious fish, good (for some this may be too large) portions all accompanied by an unusual selection of salads and veg.
regretably the oysters were not available when we visited because the oyster knife had broken! The substitute mussels were first class.
This is the place to eat in Dingle, and possibly on the west coast of Ireland.

“Not family friendly”
Reviewed August 23, 2010

Great food, but terrible service and not family friendly. You won't find a high chair or changing table for infants despite this restaurant being located in the family friendly town of Dingle. When asked where to change my son's diaper, my husband and I were let to an unsuitable shed out back. My husband and I then ran to our car parked across the street to change my son, and, upon returning, found our meals sitting at our table. Apparently, the staff could not wait until we returned to serve us. The unfortunate bit is that we could not get a discount on the meals OR an apology from the staff. The ironic thing was that the owner was not available to talk to us because his wife was giving birth. Bottom line: dine elsewhere if you have a family.
