Two nights at Ashfield B & B to start the Irish adventure were truly memorable. Mary was a super host providing a lovely breakfast with the BEST home made jam in Ireland. I would definitely highly recommend

Recently returned from a three night stay at Ashfield B&B and we highly recommend this perfect accommodation! We were amazed at the warm greetings we received from Mary, not only upon our arrival, but each evening as we returned from our days of adventure. Mary was so helpful with directions and activities, as well as being a wonderful cook. Breakfast can't be beat at Ashfield! Our room overlooking the playing fields, river and mountains was awe-inspiring especially in the early mornings with that mystic low-lying Irish fog and tranquility. The room was also bright, warmly decorated, with relaxing seating area by the window and a nice bathroom with great shower pressure. We definitely will return one day to Ashfield Bed & Breakfast!

Room Tip: Front room with bay window and seating area is large and bright.

Stayed 2 nights at Ashfield, warm welcome from Mary, attentive but not intrusive. Room was clean and well appointed, view over river and mountains beyond was wonderful. Good choice for breakfast and was full Irish was very good but would have liked some mushrooms as well. B&B is about 8-10 mins walk from Kenmare Main Street and is situated off road so little traffic noise. Parking is off road and there is amble space for 4-5 cars. Would definitely stay again.

A perfect Bed and Breakfast with a wonderful owner....Mary! Nice location outside of town but off of the main street in a quiet but picturesque area. Our lovely, spacious room with a view of the water was just as requested and even had a nice large bed for my tall husband! Bed very comfortable, bathroom was modern and well appointed and room was large. We all had a few laughs over a little problem with TOO MUCH water pressure in the showers but the plumber took care of it. Breakfast was extremely good with selection of fresh fruits, juices, cereals, yogurt, and several different hot breakfast choices that were perfectly prepared. Mary served homemade jam from her own berry bushes outside in the back yard. The true gem of this B and B was Mary herself who could not do enough for us. She was helpful in every way, pleasant and delightful. Wishing we could go back to Ireland just to stay with Mary again! I encourage visitors to Kenmare to stay at this lovely place.

Room Tip: Send Mary an email with requests and she will try to accommodate you!

Mary is a hoot. She is super friendly and runs a nice B&B. The rooms are good sized and clean. The common areas are a little outdated but perfectly nice, and the breakfast was quite good. Her homemade scones were excellent!

The house is about a minutes drive from Kenmare and offers nice views of the mountains and lakes.
