“Beautiful B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

Our family of four enjoyed our overnight stay at Abbey Court and wished we had planned to stay
for two nights! The house itself is in a beautiful setting, has comfortable rooms and is easy to find.
Brendon and Ger were wonderful hosts. Kenmare itself is a lovely town - we could have easily spent another day exploring and shopping.

Wow! Wow! Wow! what a awesome place to relax in, the views are unforgetable!I could spend the whole vacation just sitting in the patio drinking wine and watching the sea swell in and out. The place is fantastic, rooms are well appointed, good showers, coffee plentiful, ample parking. In the morning we were awoken by the birds singing. Brendan and Ger our friendly hosts served us all an amazing brekkie (I had the crepes and fresh fruit). They gave us maps and advice on where to go and what to see.Well worth booking this beautiful place.

Room Tip: When booking ask for the tripadviser rate of E35 which also includes breakfast.

My friends stayed here with me for three nights. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, good forceful showers and water. Breakfast had a very good range and fresh fruit and cheeses too.
Good wi fi good parking and good value. The family were very nice too. Would stay again if we should come back to this nice town on the the rings of kerry and cork.

Kenmare is a great town to use as a base for multiple nights - great access to Beara Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Killarney and Dingle. One of our favorite times was taking a hike 20 minutes away at Gleninchaquin Park - simply breathtaking! Brendan and Ger are gracious hosts - offering travel advise and good conversation - they represent friendly Irish hospitality. Everything about this b&b is high quality - the sitting room upstairs has fantastic water views, and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend Abbey Court.

Our four night stay at Abbey Court was a delightful experience. Brendan and Ger are lovely hosts and extended a warm greeting. After we were served coffee and shortbread cookies, Ger took time to explain sites to see in and around Kenmare. The exquisite sitting rooms at Abbey Court exemplify a serene place to relax with various reading material and the view is absolutely beautiful. The location of Abbey Court is suited for a good nights sleep. The bedroom is well appointed and we slept peacefully all four nights. A plus is that Brendan and Ger are accommodating to your needs. Breakfast is very good and filling and we appreciated the ever present selection of fresh fruit. The ten minute walk to town is very refreshing. We will always have fond memories of Abbey Court - Brendan, Ger and Niamh.

We were really looking forward to out trip to the abbeycourt based on the many great reviews and it did not disappoint.
When we arrived Brendan greeted us warmly with coffee and carrot cake. Our oom was well appointed and the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The view from the room and seating areas was of the river and mountains.
The breakfast was outstanding with many options.
Brendan and his family were really welcoming and when we left we felt he was more of a friend. He gave us great trips for routes, meals and music.
Really, really recomend this place and would love to return.

We stayed at Abbey Court for two nights towards the end of our trip to the west and south coasts. We chose it for the location and the family apartment as we were travelling with our two teen-aged children. The location was great--very near Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula, and Molls Gap. Our itinerary got a bit disjointed because the Kissane Sheep Farm was open only one day during our visit, so we ended up driving the Dingle Peninsula from Tralee, then over Molls Gap to Abbey Court all in one long day. It was surprisingly do-able. At this B&B we felt like we were staying in the family home. It was a different experience from the other B&Bs we visited, which were all wonderful. The family apartment was not as well-appointed as some of the other B & Bs we stayed at, but it was homey, very comfortable, clean, and it met our needs quite well. The tub was a plus, and we had a great view of the river. It was nice to do a little laundry as we were near the end of our trip (word to the wise--small loads only, and the dryer is very hot!) We even ate in one night as it was pouring rain. As this was the family apt and we were not expecting fresh towels and made up beds on our second day, we were pleasantly surprised upon our return from sightseeing to see that this had been done. Brendan and his family were very welcoming, the breakfasts were great, and the recommendations for things to do were appreciated. We enjoyed the music session at The Coachmans that Brendan recommended.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with children, the family apt, with two bedrooms and baths and full kitchen is...
