We received a voucher as a present for the Brook Lane in Kenmare for roughly 150, the overall price of the room was €200+ ( unsure now exactly how much exactly we paid, 220/230 maybe) for one night stay, so we were expecting really great things for the price.
Overall, it was very basic, with no pool or spa facilities and a nice room ( but not anything out of the ordinary ) it would be very hard to justify paying that price for one night without the voucher.
The iron in our room was broken, the wires were visbily coming out, it was actually a bit on the dangerous side. My partner wanted to iron his shirt before we went out for dinner, he brought it down to housekeeping and alerted them to the fact the iron was broken, he said the man seemed a bit unsure how to proceed, took his shirt from him and came back with the shirt and a new iron about 20 mins later. But the new iron obviously could not go on the ironing board so he had to iron it like crouched down on a chair - anyway- it was very awkward for him and just a bit annoying.
Hotel breakfast in the morning was lovely, brilliant quality.
Overall, lovely boutique hotel just not worth the price More
