About 5 minutes walk to a very bustling town - goods shops and amenitites with lots of pubs and restaurants. Rooms very clean, not the largest for what is quite an expensive hotel 94 Euro - much more than this in season. Tries to be a boutique, chic hotel but just a bit short of the mark and has the look of a 'chain' hotel. Staff are very hard working but appear to be under alot of pressure as they work the bar, restaurant and the reception so do not have time to engage their Irish charm. Restaurant in bar very busy times and is populated by families with lots of children so can be a bit noisy. Food is ok and nothing wrong with it but tables dont get cleared and are sticky. Breakfast in main restaurant was very good.
However situated in a beautiful part of Ireland and was a good place to use for a one night stop over. The scenery travelling to Kenmare is spectactular.
