Just back from another lovely few days at the Brook Lane and cant wait to go back. We were upgraded to the suite which is spacious and so so comfortable - a huge bed with crisp white linen, a lovely seating area and a very roomy walk in wardrobe.Even so we still found time to sit down stairs by the log fire with an irish coffee or two.
We ate in Caseys bar and the food was so good - particularly recommend the halibut which was so fresh and beautifully cooked - just perfect.
As another reviewer said breakfast in the Brook Lane is amazing - the buffet is full of fresh local produce and there is so much choice and that's before the cooked breakfast. Have to say a special thank you to Esther who makes really good breakfasts - everything cooked to perfection.
The team at the Brook Lane are just amazing working so hard to make you feel welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. Thanks so much.

While visiting my husband's family in Limerick, we took a quick 2 day trip to Kenmare and stayed at the Brook Lane Hotel. We stayed in a large suite--very roomy with a walk in closet, large bathroom, king bed and gas fireplace and a balcony. It was decorated very nicely and the bed was very comfy. It's a warm comfortable place that feels more like a large B&B than a hotel. It's conveniently situated--just a quick walk up a path into town. The first night we were there, we had a really enjoyable dinner at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast in the morning was equally delicious-lots to choose from.
Two quirky things about the room- the fireplace didn't work and as well the tub spa didn't work. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. While checking out, Una had asked how everything was and we mentioned about the fp and spa--she was extremely apologetic and immediately took money off the bill--it was very thoughtful of her to do that and we were very appreciative for it.
Next time we're in Kenmare, we will definitely come back to the Brook Lane!

We try to visit Ireland at least once every year and, whenever we are in the areas of Co. Cork we always try to fit in a visit to Brook Lane Hotel in Kenmare. We have never been disappointed whenever we have stayed here. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff are just great. Every evening we make sure that we eat in. The bar and have always enjoyed great food and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit, believe me!

We arrived in the midst of a torrential rain storm, so were unable to enjoy the town itself. We therefore opted to eat dinner at the hotel and get to bed early. The food was fresh, servers were polite. Our room was very nice, clean, large. Breakfast in the morning was really the jewel in this crown. A sumptuous buffet in addition to specialty items off the menu were included in our price. This location is really ideal to begin the Ring of Kerry. The staff took the extra initiative to make sure the weather outlook would make for favorable driving/touring conditions- something I really appreciated.

Didn't stay here but dined in the bar. Great food and a host that was a genuine person. We were kind of fussy as our dietary requirements have changed recently. Anyway with a few small changes we had a lovely time and great bite to eat. keep up the genuine welcome.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for what you really want.

I stayed at Brook Lane Hotel a few months ago and I can only thank them for the amazing accommodation and also for the lovely staff that they have. My fiance and I spent a great weekend at Kenmare, and really enjoyed the town as well as comfortable stay at Brook Lane. Sadly on the Sunday morning that we had to check out I was struck with a terrible migraine that left me unable to move. When my fiance went to the reception to ask for help at 7am, not only did they go to the pharmacy to get some medication for me, then also arranged for us to have a late check out as well as room service, all free of charge. Their service was absolutely impeccable; I really have no words to describe how amazing they were. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a lovely break at Kenmare, if the accomodation, food and atmosphere are not enough, the service will certainly impress you!

Sorry for the delay in writing this review.
My Boyfriend brought me to the Brooklane hotel for my birthday in November 2013. We had an absolutely fantastic time from the moment we arrived. Lovely warm reception and showed to our room. Beautiful room with bay view window. Comfortable and cosy. Spotlessly clean.
Few drinks in the bar watching the rugby. Then of to their sister restauant 'No 35' for a fantastic meal. The staff were excellent so friendly. Seated us in a little cnr (as they knew was my bday, bfnd had organised it on QT!) Food was fab...dessert was delicous... little sparkler and glass of bubbles added and staff singing Happy Birthday to my embarrassment and a complementery drink from the hotel owner (rang to advise restaurant we were staying there) topped of the night completely. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Kenmare.
Back at the hotel had few drinks in the bar and lovely chat with the night porter. All the staff were very friendly. In the morning unfortunately we slept in a missed breakfast, we met the owner when we were checking out who offered to cook up some breakfast if we wanted and even told us to go back to bed if needed more sleep! We declined! Had some coffee (offered) and went on our way. Must say this is one of the best week ends away from start to finish. Beautiful, cosy, warm hotel and all its staff included. Definintely will be returning.
