We liked Virginia's. It was in a great spot, the room was huge, breakfast was good. Our host kind of rushed through things with us when we arrived. To be fair, we were the only guests and I'm sure they do not live on site. He was friendly, just not as much so as the other hosts we dealt with.

We loved our stay at Virginia's! The location is perfect, Neil & Noreen were beyond friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was probably the best we had!

Neil greeted us upon arrival and was VERY thorough is going over everything we might need for our 1-night stay! He discussed all of the menu options for breakfast and gave us recommendations for dinner that evening that were great! You can't get a better "in the middle of town" location than here!

WiFi worked perfect, but alas, our TV did not. Oh well, we survived and not worth getting too worked up about. The decor may be a tad outdated, but perfectly clean and welcoming. And with service and a breakfast to die for, we weren't disappointed in the least!

Showed up at Neil and Noreen's at around 7:30 p.m. On October 9, 2012. I write this review the evening of the 10th. Had no plan for a B & B but very much wanted to go to Skellig Michael in the Ring of Kerry the next morning, and Kenmare was the best location for us to stop the night prior. It was late but Neil welcomed us in. He understood our desire to go to the Skelligstrips and immediately knew what our plan should be for the following morning. He offered to have our breakfast ready at 7:30 a.m. So that we could depart the B&B by 8:00 a.m. to make our boat departure time. We are Americans and our phone was not an option in Europe. Without asking, Neil offered to phone the boating service in the morning to confirm our trip was weather permitted. This gesture was so generous and saved us some hassle.

We were asked to submit our breakfast order for the following morning. Imagine that! A menu for breakfast! It was lovely. We had to leave early, but first Neil was there bright and early to cook our breakfast himself. We both had muesli....you may that to be somewhat

Would highly recommend this hotel.

Virginia's was a great place to stay. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Best breakfast we had in Ireland. Neil and Noreen were excellent hosts and very helpful with directions, dinner, pub and music suggestions. Great Location in the heart of Kenmare.

If you're like me, you read the not so positve reviews first ( just to see what other travellers say) and honestly I just can't believe the negativity of some people. As I always say..its about expectations and ours were certainly met at this lovely little guesthouse in the heart of Kenmare. We were just passing through and the lovely Noreen told us excatly how to get to the property. The parking angels were with us as we got a spot right outside. Otherwise there is parking on a parallel street. Neil met us at the B and B and could not have been more charming. Of course being small and intimate we were aksed what time we might like breakfast and we chose off a delicious menu. Really this was no problem at all and added to the novelty of the experience. The breakfast was just soo yummy and fresh. We had a charming room on the street side and it was not noisy at all and it was very comfortable. We really loved staying here and have no hestitation in recommending it as an auththentic Irish B and B. Thank you for a lovely stay and we were delighted to be there to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary.

Fantastic spot in Henry Street, just a few steps to great pubs and restaurants. Room was comfortable, there was a few stairs to be aware of but not a problem for us. Neil and Noreen were attentive and helpful. If you are arriving late make sure you make arrangements with Neil to access your accommodation. The breakfasts are gourmet and are to die for. Highly recommend and we hope to stay there again one day. The next night we stayed in Killarney which we think is a good way to do the Ring of Kerry.
