“Fresh produce, home made baking and a witch!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

Found this cafe as we strolled around Kenmare as kids were hungry for brunch. There wasn't a paper menu but a large chalkboard above the counter was smothered in lists of coffees, salads, sandwiches and snacks. The display case had a nice range of homemade desserts - cream cupcakes, cheesecake, gateau, brownies, etc.
A friendly witch was seated across from us, hat, cape and wicker basket in tow. Kids were amazed to see her away from the Witches Kitchen where they met her earlier.
We ordered at the counter and took our seats at the long high bench that extends almost the length of the cafe. After having great, freshly made soup and sandwiches, pancakes, hot chocolate and tea (all for under 20 Euro) we headed back onto the streets of Kenmare to enjoy the halloween festivities.

“Great find!”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Sunday on a drizzly day in November, we were wandering round Kenmare and called into this small cafe. Lovely local paintings on show and interesting tables with a few high bars and stools as well as normal tables. The menu was plentiful and very very reasonable. We chose French toast which was absolutely delicious and light at just €4 for five slices, maple syrup and fresh cream. Under €10 for two of these, tea and coffee.
Would highly recommend this cafe, friendly, clean and excellent value for money. We also saw a plate of a large wrap, stuffed full of chicken with chips...this was only €6.95, great value.
