Where the words, cead mile failte really mean a hundred thousand welcomes. My husband and I along with our 3 month old little boy, Jack spent a very enjoyable and memorable time in Kerry this week. The highlight of our holiday was a trip to The Boatbouse at Dromquinna Manor. The food was simply stunning, I ordered mussels which were plucked from the water moments before hand.....can't get fresher that that! My husband has fish cakes, again absolutely mouthwatering and for dessert, we settled on a lemon pudding. The staff, both James and his female colleague made us feel so welcome, we left so important, like we were the only people in the restaurant, although they had many tables to wait on, they made such a huge effort talking to us, making us feel so welcome. Their caring and increadible hospitality had a huge impact on us, we've told all our friends about this very special place, trust me, if you're planning a trip to Kerry, visit this magical place.....it's set on a beautiful waterfront with stunning views of the magical mountains of Kerry, the Boatbouse can host 60 people, ideal for parties, pre rehearsal wedding dinner, romantic night out, christening parties.....any special occasion, this place has it all, we got some beautiful family pictures and will treasure the memories of that night April 18th was our 4th anniversary, it was also April 18th 2012, we discovered we were going to be parents for the first time, April 18th 2013.... We discovered the Boatbouse in Kenmare......And what a find it was......we loved it and we will be back.
