Probably a little pricey for what you get, but it's simple, freshly prepared good food that any age group would be happy with. I had my elderly Dad with me and it's only plain food he likes to eat. Tisn't many places you'll find a ham and cheese salad plate these days. Theirs is made with their own delicious home-cooked 'real' ham and lovely matured handcut cheese. Staff were friendly. Service was good. They were having to turn people away and it was only a Wednesday. Always a popular place.

Headed here for a quick bite while passing through Kenmare. Adequate place if you are looking for a sandwich, toastie, or salad.
Pretty ordinary and simple plate served and staff didn't even ask what kind of bread one required for a sandwich. Seafood open sandwiches and salads were very overpriced and the pint of Guinness had to be the worst we had in West Cork / Kerry area.
Clean restuarant and mannerly staff though menu lacking in choice...

We had a nice lunch here during our stay in Kenmare, upon a recommendation from staff at the park hotel. We had soup, salad and an open faced sandwhich, everything was garden fresh and prepared well. The service was great and quick without being pushy. The recommendation of a local cider was especially appreciated.

While trying to find a pub for lunch in Kenmare we came across this traditional looking pub.
We ordered a cheese plate and two pints as we did not have much time. The result of our choice turned to be one of the best in times. Lots of cheese selection, nice home made bread and a really nice and helpful staff.
I will return for sure on my next Kenmare visit.
