“Country Paradise!”

My wife, nephew and I stayed here for three nights. We all loved the cottage and the beautiful countryside. The cabin is located about ten miles from Kenmare on the Beara Peninsula. It is surrounded by sheep farms, woods and the bay is not too far away. The Lake House pub which is about a mile away serves excellent fresh fish. There is also a combined Tuosist post office and grocery store within eyesight of the cabin. The roads around the cabin are narrow and have stone walls with fences and blackberry bushes all over them. In September, the bushes were just covered with blackberries and I certainly had my fill! One road leads to the bay which you can access from farmer John's land. He allows this!

The cottage has two bedrooms and a bath downstairs with a large kitchen and living room upstairs. Everything appeared to be new and clean and fresh. There are several skylights from which you can enjoy great views. The cottage also has a clothes washer and all the necessary kitchen appliances to cook your own meals.

The owner greeted us with an apple pie which was delicious! She also reviewed all the appliances in the cottage and gave us recommendations on what to do in the area.

We wish we had stayed her longer to further explore the Beara peninsula!

Absolutely the most adorable cottage in the world. It is impossible not to relax and find peace in this place. Very close to the coast and the town of Kenmare where you can fill up with Irish treats and wares. Try the Baileys ice cream at Kenmare Ice cream shop...tastes like a dream. Maureen was lovely and her apple pie is delicious. Stop searching and book this listing right now!!!

“The perfect get-away! Warm, cozy and homey!"”

I had just led a tour to Galway, Dingle and Ennis and was looking for a place to relax, decompress and do some family research for a few days. I loved Maureen's cottage from the moment I pulled into the driveway! She greeted me with a warm apple pie, freshly baked. The cottage was immaculate, warm and cozy, and charmingly decorated. It has every amenity you could need and everything in it is spotless and in perfect condition. I was able to go out and meet with Maureen's mother-in-law, who helped me fill in my family tree and who also gave me names of other folks who knew my mother's family. It was the perfect spot for a quiet retreat, and is easily accessible to Kenmare and to all of the surrounding natural beauty of this area. I will definitely be going back!

From the moment we arrived to a warm apple pie we knew that we were going to like this cottage. The welcome was genuine and friendly, the facilities spotless and clean, and the mod cons everything we could ask for. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone, without reservations of any kind. We had an excellent holiday and a great place to come back to.
