Very interesting boat trip to watch birds and seals, enjoy the breathtaking landscapes, get information on the wildlife and environment by engaged and fun experts, listen to the captain sing and have a tea with rum and chocolate cookies! Highly recommended!

We were only staying in Kenmare for the weekend & this trip totally wasted a full afternoon. the sailing time was scheduled for 2.30pm however we didn't depart until 3.10pm. There was a bitter cold breeze coming in from the bay for the 40 min that we waited on the pier and watched the crew get themselves organised. The trip took a painful 3 hours. The captain spoke, sang, hummed for the entire time while we shivered with the cold. It is so bad he even goes so far as to tell batman jokes!!!!!! we soon realised that this SEAFARI was a bit of a con and not to expect to see much. We saw a couple of seals appear up from the water a few times and that was it !!!!!!! My ten year old daughter summed it up well when she said how embarrassed she was for the foreign tourists on the boat. I cannot stress it enough this trip is uttering disappointing & a total waste of time. I would recommend you to take the 1 hour cruise with Star Outdoors

We (two adults and two teenagers) went on a seafari trip and would recommend it to others. Great commentary, great hospitality and really close views of seals. Good value for money - a must when staying in the area.

Ended up on Seafari almost by accident, as we had planned a different activity for our hen party but it fell through. From the start, Ray was accomodating and sound as a pound. Some were a little unsure about the prospect of a 2 hour cruise, but we didn't regret it. Sat at the back with bread, cheese and cava, listening to the informative, quirky and educational comments from from Ray as we headed out into the beautifully scenic bay of Kenmare.

In fairness, the weather couldn't have been better, and when we did start to get a little cold, we were given lovely wool blankets for our knees, and later some free tea, coffee and biscuits with a drop of 'medicine' for the tea (to warm us to our little cockles). Seemed to spend ages looking at seals though and they didn't do much, but I suppose if you weren't used to being by the sea it would be more of a novelty. It was interesting to see one of the seals' reaction to the fiddle music though. He was definitely curious about it.

Overall, a great trip, and clearly meant to be as it was bucketing down rain the next day. Kenmare is a great place for a weekend away and Féile Neidín was great. Can't wait to come back.

We have been on seafari three times and we know the Kerry area well as my parents lived there for over 10 years so we know what the good things are in this area - this is a 'must do' item for any age. At first glimpse the price might put you off (60 euros for a family of four) but we were treated to 3 hours cruising on Kenmare bay which is a breathtaking strip of water surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains. Tea and biscuits were plentiful. We were lucky enough to have live music on our trip - at one point, two fiddlers played to the seals who kept bobbing up to listen! It was magical. Captain Ray is great fun and very welcoming, so were the rest of the crew. It is a great experience and good value for money, you must do it! Thank you to Seafari.
