It takes but five minutes to see this little bridge, but somehow it has a charm of history and nature.

Came upon this by accident and had to look up the history. Cromwell's Bridge Probably misnamed as Oliver Cromwell never came to Kerry during his Irish campaign. It seem the name is thought to be a corruption of "croimeal", the Irish word for moustache which describes the shape. The bridge was built in the 17th century by the English settlers of the town and was intended as a footbridge.

This bridge is across the street from our lady's well and has nothing to do with cromwell, nor could anyone easily walk across it as is a very small humpback bridge. But it is an easy site to visit that is a short walk from the main swuare.
