4 of us (2 couples) went to Kenmare for New Years Eve 2012 . We booked 2 double rooms in The Lodge. We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by Rosemary and shown to our room. The house has a mix of styles. A lot thought, effort and investment has gone into it.
Our room was large with a very comfortable bed it was at the side of the house so very quiet. The colour scheme was very dramatic black, silver and red. Our friends room had a completely different theme with a four poster bed and floral pattern wallpaper.
Breakfast was served until 11 which is great when you have been out until 2.30 am! I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon with freshly made brown bread, followed with a homemade scone. My husband had the mini fry and enjoyed it. The tables were laid with linen and had lovely little details, napkin rings, linen napkins and candles. Rosemary greeted everyone and had a chat with one and all. We will return!More
