Our first night in Kenmare we dined at The Coachman - it was where all the B&B owners send their guests who ask for real Irish music... Well, it is amplified... and loud... and foot-stompin'.... pandering to Americans and Germans.... (if you ask us). After interviewing more residents about where to get a REAL Irish pub experience without the amplified pap for Americans with "rollicking-footstomping" music, we selected the Bold Thady in the Lansdowne Arms and LOVED it. The pub grub was better than the Coachman and the music was REAL.... and more than half of the bar were Kenmare or Kerry native. Yes, they loved it... we loved it.... you will love it. At Coachman we felt like we were on an assembly like - at the bold thady we felt one of the crowd.
