Stayed on 31/12 and 1/1 for 2 nights. They made an error with our booking but the staff and manager came to apologise and they upgraded us to a holiday lodge which was amazing. 5 star for sure. Lovely leisure centre and great staff. Went for massage which was beautiful. All in all fab Hotel near Kenmare town, nice and quite with great facilities. Couldnt fault it

Stayed in the hotel for one night. One night too many. Will not be returning to this establishment again. On arrival the reception area was nice and welcoming. Staff were efriendly and we were directed to our rooms. On entering the room the first thing we noticed was that the room had not been hoovered and there was dust on the appliances.Ok not good so far. There was a wedding being held in the hotel on the same day and everything appeared quite nice. My friends and I set out for Kenmare town for a bite to eat and enjoy a few drinks which we did. On returning to the hotel we entered the lobby area where our rooms were situated and found a large crowd smoking in the sitting area. One thing that really bothered me about this was that there was a smoke detector over their heads!!!!!! It didn't activate. I reported this in the morning prior to departure via assessment sheet in our room which I left at reception. It was never acknowledged by staff. I along with my friends will not be returning to the Kenmare Bay Hotel and Resort in the near future.

Our family has a get together in the Kenmare Bay Hotel there was 12 adults and 8 kids. We just spent a lazy weekend together and we were well looked after by all the staff. The rooms were plenty big enough as in our room we had 2 adults and 3 kids with a cot needed for the smallest. Our room was very comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was beautifully finished and shower/bath were very clean.
We had a family meal on the Saturday night in the Hotel. My wife and I really enjoyed the dinner as the service was excellent and the food was great. All the kids had atable to themselves and were fed very quickly to allow them go back to the room to watch a movie. There is also a play area (with dvd player) which kept the younger ones entertained allowing the adults a little peace to enjoy the dinner.
I didn't go to the swimming pool myself but my daughter and son had a great time their spending hours enjoying themselves.
My wife and I enjoyed staying at the hotel as it was very comfortable and felt like home and we had great company with all the family. There was loads of kids around and the hotel cartered very well for them.
Well done to all the staff

We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the room was ready. The hotel is a short walk from the town of kenmare. We visited many many shops. We had lunch at Jam restuarant and evening meals at another neighbouring establishment. They both turned out to be fantastic.

Just returned from a 2 night midweek break in Kenmare where we stayed at this hotel. The 1st room we were allocated had interconnecting doors hwich my wife disliked & we asked to change which was done immediately and with a minimum of fuss. 2nd room was fine with a good sized en suite. We found the staff very friendly and informative esp. Adam ( I think) the night porter. There's also very good leisure facilities, pool, gym etc, although we didn't use them this time. We'd certainly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel , staff attentive and any complaints dealt with promptly. Close to town and excellent value. Heard very good reports about the lodges also if there are more than two of you. Nice pool and big leisure centre.

Honestly this is not the hotel it pretends to be. There is very little parking and we were here on a night it rained which meant a walk in the rain. The facilities that it provides are not suitable for the amount of rooms it has. We stayed two nites and had to walk very far in the rain to get to our room. I would definitely say the staff are very good and knowable. My partner works in a three star hotel and the roooms are fairly similar, with more in the three star. We found Kenmare in general to be a total rip off. We live in Ireland and found we walked around every hotel and pub and take away and still couldn't find a decently priced pub, restaurant, or take away, and I work in a chinese take away so know the prices. The take away's were far better than the restaurant's on price. It put a downer on our holiday and we felt we should have stayed in Kilarney for both food and accomadation as it was central but not that close to the town that they can afford to ask what they do for a meal..
