This bar is a real touch of genuine Ireland. Good food, food beer, even better Guinness and the best live entertainment in the area (I think anyway). We've been visiting this bar for over 17 years, we haven't stayed in the B&B since our first visit, so we can't comment on current services, we always visit when passing through Kenmare though.

Room Tip: Sorry, haven't made use of the B&B facilities so can't comment.

This is a very nice B&B on the main street of Kenmare. The rooms were immaculate and had everything you needed. The restaurant and pub owned by the same people was warm and friendly and the food excellent.

Spent 1 night here but should have stayed in Killarney. This is merely a pub with rooms. Accommodation is not their principle business. Rooms are upstairs and there is no lift or offer of assistance with luggage.

Manager was rude on check in and I think rather unreasonable. Breakfast does not begin until 8.30am which seemed very late. As we needed to leave at the time breakfast was beginning we asked to change our booking to room only. However the manager would not have a bar of it and we had to pay for the breakfast we could not have. There is a nice bakery next door which was open when we were leaving so in hindsight we should never have booked a room with breakfast anyway.

Our twin room had 3 single beds in it. None of which were at all comfortable. Power points to charge a phone where very limited and I had to disconnect a lamp in order to charge my appliance. Room was old and looked grimy. The bedspreads looked disgusting. Our bathroom was a reasonable size but had no storage. Just a sink, shower and toilet.

We ate in the pub restaurant and had hoped to enjoy the local Irish music. However there was no entertainment (maybe it only started very late in the evening) and the food was very ordinary.

This is very basic accommodation and if you are after anything other than somewhere to crash after a big night on the drink, I would stay somewhere else. I would never stay here again.

O'Donnabhain's B&B and Bar was a random choice that we stumbled into during a heavy shower in Kenmare - what a great happen stance. Great atmosphere and food. We liked the Bar experience so much that we decided to take advantage of their B&B. The location on Henry Street was perfect for walking the town and parking. The food was excellent and all four of us were very happy with our stay.

Room Tip: Our room (2 or 3)was very quite after the kitchen shut down.

Really lovely traditional Irish pub serving great food with a warm welcome.
The rooms are clean, modern and have great facilities and are very reasonably priced with a great breakfast choice and a laid back qnd comfortable atmosphere.
Kenmare is a great place to stay and close to the amazing Killarney national park.

Room Tip: All the rooms are very nice.

Stayed here for 1 night after a wedding as a couple. Staff were very nice, and the room was very nice and clean. Lovely shower! Was given 2 single beds pushed together instead of a double bed, which we didn't really mind because we got it for a good price. Didn't have breakfast! Decided to have it somewhere else in the town (we decided this before we booked it!)

The room was FREEZING however. We arrived back at 2am, which I guess was late because we were at a wedding. Tried turning on the heater but it didn't work. The duvet and blankets in the bed were not very warm. We got extra blankets alight from the wardrobe..but we were still very cold! In fairness it was an extra cold night compared to what it had been like in Kerry for the past few nights, so maybe no one was prepared for it!

Otherwise was lovely, though!

We had a little time to actually check out the rooms in 5 center town establishments in Kenmare. As we were in the "low season" they offered us the room without b'fast for a considerable savings. Many of the rooms toward the back of the hotel have large skylights, making the rooms very bright. In all, a terrific place to stay. The restaurant also has excellent food.
