“Charming Country Cottage”

We recently enjoyed a week near Kenmare in the Templenoe Heights Cottage. It's only about 5 miles from Kenmare and a great location for touring southwest Ireland. It is secluded but with great directions for finding it and has a small view of Kenmare Bay from the living room. While we had neighbors, the large yard with lush trees and shrubs gave us great peace and quiet. The house was immaculate and the kitchen one of the best outfitted we've encountered. TV and Wi-Fi were great when we needed them. The mechanical systems are somewhat complicated but came with good directions. The owner's sister, Margaret, is nearby and very cordial and helpful. We found a nearby restaurant, The Boathouse at Dromquinna, that was right on the water and served excellent food. While there were just two of us, the house could easily accommodate 4 or 5. Since we are in our 70's we appreciated it all being on one level, and in fact it is designed to handle someone in a wheelchair. We totally loved our time there.

“Fabulous”

Had a great time. A short break but really enjoyable. Will try and go back in the spring to make use of the large garden. Monica and Margaret could not have been more helpfully.

“Delightful Place”
Reviewed October 24, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Very well equipped and comfortable bungalow in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The disabled facilities were fine for my wife and the surroundings very relaxing. The nearest town Kenmare is a gem! We met with kindness and consideration everywhere we went.

“wonderful house in superb location”
Reviewed August 15, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Great house with all facilities one might want. Excellent location to explore the Kerry, Beara a nd Dingle peninsulas. Kenmare is close by for shopping restaurants etc. For us it was very ideal because we love this kind of quiet surroundings in the midst of a highly touristic environment. We will certainly try to stay here again!

“A gem in the heart of Kerry!”
Reviewed July 28, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Spent a most enjoyable week in Templenoe Heights. The property is in excellent condition, suitable for family. Near lovely beach, on the Kerry way and not far from Kenmare. Ideal location to base yourself for outdoor activities (walking, cycling, water sports) or just relaxing in glorious sunshine in private grounds. Suitable for wheelchair access. Kitchen and rooms very well kitted out. Internet access was instant. Beautiful gardens. Lots of hot water, and there is even the option of sitting by an open fire (logs provided). Lots of TV channels if you wish to stay connected to what's going on in the outside world. Definitely I will be having Templenoe Heights on my return list!.

“Very Nice Home”
Reviewed October 2, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The home was very nice and was immaculate.
The Bathroom facilities were designed for persons with a disability so if you are tall you might have to adjust to the different levels of sinks etc. .Not really a problem. The house is well equipped with everything you need and there is a very good set of instructions for everything in the home. The home is located in a rural area outside of Kenmare by about 6-7 KMS so if you are a little "out of the action" if you are a person who wants to party in town.
It is very quiet and has lovely gardens and a great view.
Booking the property was OK but since the owner wants a cash transfer of all funds before arrival it is a bit costly in transfer fees. Credit card would be better
