I had dinner here one evening during our stay in Kenmare but my companions had dinner there one additonal time. This is no extraordinary food, but plain pub food. However, I doubt that you get better food in another pub. I ordered the lamb stew which was quite all right, even though maybe a little tasteless. My husband recommends the fish and chips or the ribs, which he found really nice.
This isn't the best romantic restaurant since there is plenty of background noise, but well... it is a pub after all. The pub in itself has a nice atmosphere and the live music later in the evening is really good, even if it might be a bit too loud... it would be nice to hear what your neighbours are saying or what you order in the bar. But still one shouldn't complain!
We were always treated friendly by the staff, even if it was a bit hard to get their attention during "rush hour" when the pub was full.
