“Tea Time in Kenmare”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

It was a dreary rainy morning and by 11 a.m. I was feeling a little peckish and I happened upon "Cupan Tea". The "Tea for One" just hit the spot. Delicious sandwiches, my choice, scones with cream and jam and to finish off some sweet cakes. The sandwiches were made to order and the hot tea was delicious as well as the sweets. I have been to Ireland many times and this was by far the best lunch time tea I have had. Mary O'Leary, our hostess, was warm, friendly and welcoming. Her tea shop was immaculately clean and decorated lovely with all types of designs for her tea service. I highly recommend you going to "Cupan Tea" for a most enjoyable experience.

Despite 15 minutes from closing, we were still received for tea and scones. Delicious Jam and scones; a great afternoon tea was had.

“just take a look at how the tables are dressed - like a step back in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

We were looking for a midday snack and came across this little restaurant at the top of the main street.

The selection of cake was excellent so we shared two different ones, which were both delicious.
It seems a long time ago when the bone china tea services used to come out but here every table is set out with bone china tea services in different patterns and is a joy to behold and an ideal stop to spoil yourself to a nice lunch.
