This restaurant was the worst experience in Kerry.
The staff exists of two people, handing out the menu's from the bar.
My wife ordered the fishermen platter, this was terrible, 3 shrimps, 3 mussels, 3 kalamari and a small peace of cod, fried in patato covered layers.
Tasted terrible. It was not mentioned in the menu that this was fried food.
Opposite of the street there is Davitts, better staff, better food, more value for money, it is recommended to spent your money there.
Regards JE

While staying in Foley's Ardmullen Self-Catering Homes, a great value in themselves, we had the opportunity to eat at Foley's for some lunches, and all suppers over 4 days. For four people that works out to 16+ meals. We managed to repeat no selections during this time and found the food to be fresh and well prepared. The Kerry Lamb, Guinness Beef Stew, Fish and Chips, Lamb Liver etc. were all wonderful. Desserts were first class--for chocolate lovers don't miss the chocolate pudding with ice cream. Special note needs to be made of the wait staff, and Patrick himself, who make each customer feel welcome. I have never seen any group of people move so fast for so long. We stayed for the music on 3 of the nights and were treated to great Irish ballads and a rollicking sing-a-long with visitors from around the world. This was our second visit to Kenmare and Foley's and certainly won't be our last.

We ate at Foley's two nights and the food was good, there was a nice selection in a variety of price ranges, and the service excellent. They had the best seafood chowder we ate in Ireland, and we tried a lot of them. You can also go in for a drink if that's all you want. Our only complaint was the musician didn't show up for his session at 9:30 p.m. one night. We waited until ten and then went to another bar and caught the last set.

You can't come to Kenmare without coming here. Buzzing atmosphere, wonderful Mussels and very tasty Guinness Pie. The music starts about 9.30 pm ish and we had 2 great nights there. Just good fun.
