This is really a beautiful resort. Clearly Cyclone Debbie really hit hard and they're rebuilding so there is a bit of construction and maintenance going on (our phone didn't work and stated that it was from a different unit - told reception via our mobiles but nothing was done) but the units are magical. We were disappointed with the view (we asked for full ocean) but was given level one unit - get higher floors for full views. The view was visible from lounge only and was above the adjoining villa roofs so it was disappointing. The unit was clean but we found one dirty cup in cupboard. The one bedroom apartment is HUGE with full kitchen and laundry. Coles and other stores a short drive away with amazing restaurants at Airlie Beach up the road.

We'd been to the Whitsundays but never stayed at Airlie Beach. We were in need of a quick, warm destination for our trip.

Thoroughly impressed by Airlie Beach & the Mirage Whitsundays! The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious & beautiful! They had also just opened the gym & spa, I highly recommend both! We will definitely be back!

Had a week away as a couple and found the location and room to be excellent. Not right in town but a nice walk to shops and restaurants.
The room was massive and well equipped. The facilities were really good with hardly any people in the pool so not issues with getting a lounge.
Staff were superb and very friendly and accommodating.

My friend and I had a deluxe ocean view apartment and couldn't have been happier. The feel of the apartment was absolutely luxurious, the view was stunning, the pools were clean and we could even swim in mid-June, much to our delight. The water was a little cool, but we easily got used to it within a few minutes.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the manager chatted to me for ages about everything they had been through with Cyclone Debbie. I was amazed the resort was in such great condition only 10 weeks afterwards. The staff are to be commended on getting the property to such an amazing standard in such a short time.

Everything was absolutely perfect - yes it's quite a long way out of town but were weren't there for the town. We wanted peace and quiet.

The kitchen was gorgeous and master bedroom had an in-room bath with a view! The Foxtel was a boon too.

They have a villa/house/apartment to suit everyone, so I"ll be back. Very excited to hear there's a bar and restaurant opening in October. I cannot wait to return to the Mirage with my children. Seriously, take your business here - we were so happy!

Room Tip: Lovedour room next to the water

We had a gorgeous three bedroom villa with a waterfront view and never wanted to leave. The place was immaculate. The kitchen was equipped with everything you will ever need and we treated ourselves to a bubble bath with an ocean view. I have no complaints whatsoever except for the fact I can't stay forever. The boardwalk was at our feet and despite the villa being some distance away from town, the walk to town was lovely and we actually loved being away from the noise. If you can afford this resort, you can afford a $10 taxi to town. We loved it. Will recommend.

Room Tip: Get the ocean view. you won't be sorry
