“Lovely place for honeymooners, and for water sports enthusiasts. The property is good with all facilities but expensive.”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

We went to maldives for our 15th Anniversary and we chose this resort after lot of searching and ultimately it was trip-advisors genuine feedback that helped me a lot, thanks to them for that. This property has one of the amazing locations with crystal clear water and coral reefs and variety of colourful fish. We took half board package with buffet breakfast and buffet dinner which I found to be economical as everything's so expensive right from water bottle which costs 3$ plus 18% tax. They don't allow alcohol but they sell in their resorts strange, like beer costing 5$ plus 18% .We stayed 2 nights in superior beach bungalow ,it was ok, and stayed on night in water villa, which is just amazing and it's worth every penny for the extra bucks u spend, so my advise is stay at least one night in water villa to experience the uniqueness. We went on a full day island hopping which costs 70 $ per person, visited one resort, one fishing village, and a picnic island where BBQ lunch is served. There one can do snorkelling and swimming .overall it was a pleasant stay but a bit expensive compared to other tropical destinations.

Room Tip: Room nos 235 to 320 in superior beach bungalow and room nos 230 to 250 in water villas

The rooms were really tired. Food wasn't great and in some places was awful. I don't think it shows the real Maldives. The hotel staff weren't very professional except for one man. I'd give high to the spa was amazing we were very impressed. But overall it's too expensive for what it is and as our was 6 am which is before breakfast buffet, they offered us poor breakfast and I was shocked to be charged 20 dollars for it. As a result we won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend it.

Hi,

We planned to go to Maldives for our honeymoon but were in a dilemma which resort to go for. There are so many things to consider safety, budget, ambiance, restaurants and on-board facilities and this resort has everything you need.

I recommend it for all the couples...you'll fall in love again!!!

We spent our honeymoon here. We wanted to stay on the beach so picked superior beach bunglow. The room was nice they welcomed us with drinks and haf kept a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine. The food here is good too. I am a vegetarian n thankfully they had a number of options in veg too. We tried some water sports n dinner on the beach, which was amazing. The best dinner date ever. We loved our stay in here and specially the couple spa. It was just awesome

Room Tip: Take one closer to the reception

There is nothing more romantic like sipping your morning tea or having a romantic moment with your partner on the private deck of your cottage ... watching the marine life in the deep blue crystal clear sea and the blue sky above you.

Room Tip: Cottages on the promenade leading into the sea

I cannot review the hotel without mentioning the awesome feeling that you get on seeing the vast blue sea dotted by small islands and lagoons just before landing. Wow...what a beautiful place!! The speed boat ride that followed was thrilling and we also saw a school of dolphins on our way. The speed boat captain was kind enough to stop the speed boat to get a better glimpse. On reaching the resort, we were held spell bound by the long jetty and the colorful fishes in the shallow waters. Although we reached there at 1, we had to wait for an hour as the room was not done. We were given Superior Beach Bungalow # 121 even though I had requested for a room between 280 and 300. Room 121 did not have great views but it was near the lagoon. Later our request was accepted and we were given Room 281. Now, this is how a "superior" room should be. Better views, better upholstery, and cleaner!

Food: we had taken a half board package and enjoyed it. We visited the various restaurants for lunch. Found the Italian restaurant to be the best. Beer and water are priced same!

Activities: We were here for 4 nights and we had plenty of time in our hands. Took snorkeling training on the first day. People who know swimming need not do this. But those guys are professionals and they know the best snorkeling spots. That's the only plus. Met another couple who directly took the snorkeling excursion and they told us that even they were taught the basics. Did canoeing the day after and it was amazing to watch the sunset in a canoe. Did not do anything the day after (I guess that's what a vacation is meant to be). Did diving and I must say, it was simply AWESOME esp. the deep sea part. You don't have to know swimming to dive. My wife didn't know swimming yet she thoroughly enjoyed it. Diving is worth an experience. We took the package with a camera to capture the experience of our lifetime.

Our flight got delayed and we had about 4 hours after reaching the airport, so our hotel staff appointed a local guide and did a little sight seeing of the capital - Male. Took lots of souvenirs from a local shop. They were much better and cheaper than the ones you get in the resort. But, do this only if you have time between your check-out and your flight. Else, buy the souvenirs at the resort.

Suggestions:
- Carry a few snack items, packaged water in your check-in luggage.
- Check the mini bar as soon as you check-in and inform the reception if you find anything missing from the list else you'll be charged.
- Carry US dollars. It is the most widely accepted currency in Maldives.
- Carry water proof sun screens with high SPF
- Carry goggles and a hat.
- Go for half board package.
- Pack your luggage the night before your departure. The guys start clearing your room exactly at 11.
- Inform the reception about your birthdays and anniversaries if they are during the stay.
- Better carry your own snorkeling gear, its cheaper to buy it than rent it at $14 / day!

Room Tip: Beach bungalow rooms no 280-300 are the best. Although there's no diving area in front of them b...

I stayed in paradise island resort in november 2013.I came on holiday package of 4 days and 3 night which also includes breakfast and dinner. I was taken from airport to resort on speed boat and on arrival in resort received welcome drink. Then I stayed in beach bungalow , which was really good, the back door opened and the beach welcomed me, amazing spot. loved the clear water and i need not go deep inside to sea the marine creature, beautiful colour full fish.

The dinner and breakfast was buffet and I enjoyed it so much.

I enjoy Auroma SPA aswell, really refreshing to my body and soul.

Also note maldives is very expense place, a bottle of drinking water(1.5lts) costed around 3 USD,I am from india and its 25INR. (nearly quarter USD) in India.

Maldives and the resort is good place to visit for 3 to 4 days ,beyond that it would lead to boredom
