Paradise island was stunning , my partner and I found the friendly staff and service on this island excellent. Fantastic snorkelling scuba diving and perfect for what we needed. A great choice in restuarant food and overall a fabulous little island. However we have both been bitten by bed bugs so badly that upon our return needed to see our doctor. We stayed in the beach bungalows and found that other people holidaying had also been bitten . We originally thought it to be mosquito bites. Our beautiful suntan is no more as we are completely covered. We have both never experienced anything like this before and can honestly say will never be returning to paradise!!!!! We fell in love with the people and they gave us an amazing service so this has made us very sad!

Room tip: Try the water bungalows they may not be infested with bed bugs!

I went to " Paradise Island Resort & Spa" in April, 2012 for my honeymoon. On reaching Airport, I was delighted to see the Island country with crystal clear water, milky white beaches, and the perfect drawing shapes in the clouds.

My journey at maldives started with a warm gesture at airport by the executives of the resort. They took me to the heavenly resort in the speed boat. Me and my wife had a big smile of satisfaction on our face while on the way to the resort. Every single thing around us was just beautiful.

On reaching resort, we were offered with a very yummy orange mocktail. It was the best orange mocktail I ever had in my life! Then one of the very beautiful resort representative gave us a short orientation about our stay. Afterwards, we had a lavish lunch at the restaurant adjoining the pool and finally landed up in a beach bungalow.

Beach Bungalow rooms are just ok, but a good option for the people who want to enjoy beach. Beach bungalows are very silent and personal towards the back. Front side bungalows near pool is a good option for those who want to enjoy the crowd as well

The second day, we upgrade our room to Water villa. Water vilas are just amazing and is a different world in itself. Water Villas/Heaven Villas/Suites are just awesome. You cannot resist staying in those rooms after seeing it. If budget is not a bar, do stay in Water villa. This is the construction done on the top of sea. Rooms has beautifully designed personal balcony with a stairs to a beach. Perfect destination for honeymooners!!

Water Villa/Heaven Villas are just a best deal for honeymooners..

Room tip: Water villas are the best deal Beach Bungalows near the front pool are good!

We started the thrilling experience of being @ MALDIVES the minute we landed from the aircraft. Amazing place! The hotel picked us up from MALE and we were transported through a speedboat to the hotel. Its a beautiful property surrounded by crystal turquoise clear lagoons. The hotel welcomed us with welcome drinks and warm towel wipes and gave us a virtual tour of the property. We could get the rooms of our choice (superior beach bungalow). The hotel is very clean and well maintained with all the essentials that a 4 star hotel must have. It has spa facilities, gym, cybercafe, indoor games, swimming pool, water sports, restaurants, coffee shop etc. The swimming pool is rather small but who is gonna swim there anyway with lagoons all around?!! The rooms were neat & tidy and the staff was always happy to help. We did para-sailing as well and it was a dream of an adventure. Very strongly recommended!!

Room tip: 1. Rooms near the center of the hotel are more accessible but prefer the rooms on the extremes in case you are looking for privacy 2. You can opt for the superior beach bungalow. It is extremely beautiful..pls refer to the photos on the website only 3. Prefer a half-board package. A full-board package becomes too heavy to have. With a half board package, you have a lot of reasonably prices options for an afternoon/noon-time snack (Pasta, Pizza, Sandwiches etc)

I have been in this hotel in february 2012, i can say that it was a great rest, the food was hmm a bit weird for me as i am used to European cuisine, but by the end of my vacation i loved the spicy food :)! The stuff of the hotel was very friendly, soo i recommend it!

Room tip: I would advice to live in the bungallows which are close by to the main bar (the one where live music is being played).

Stayed at this resort after a lot of research & the usual worrying if we were making the "right" choice, from the 3rd Oct to 13th Oct 2012 on an "all inclusive" package; what a great choice we mad as It turned out to be a dream of a holiday!!!!
Location - only 30 mins by boat from Male, far enough to feel miles & miles from anywhere
Resort - great facilities, plenty of trips and water activities: it never felt crowded
Superior Beach Bungalow - we had 304 which was a superb location for the sea, resturant and just about everything else. It was cleaned twice a day
Entertainment - live bands to crab racing to just relaxing music: we enjoyed it all
Food & drink - all inclusive was a dream as we could eat & drink all day. Eating out would have been expensive as would the amount of beer, wine & cocktails we drank during our stay. The beer was Tiger beer so great for me, the food was well cooked and we never got bored during our stay as the choice was immense
Staff & sevice - brilliant. Genuinely helpful & friendly & always smiling
Beaches & sea - incredible!
Weather - very very hot with the odd pleasant rain shower
Would we go back - without hesitation
Would we recommend to friends & family - yes & yes
Julian & Sharon:couple in their late forties

Room tip: The superior beach bungalows are great value for money and are right on the beach. Pleased we didn't stay in one of the water villas
