Really comfortable accommodation. Every little thing thought of to make a very enjoyable stay... even had a birthday card and chos for my husband as I'd booked it for a birthday treat. The location is amazing, right in the middle of the Peak District., good for walking. Local pub is very friendly and cosy. Good home cooked food. Would definitely recommend... certainly will return for another stay.
I took my girlfriend here for a surprise weekend away for her birthday. She had no idea where we were staying and was a bit confused when greeted outside of the cotton loft by Julie and Steve. The outpouring of tremendous joy from my girlfriend is a testament to the warm welcome from our hosts and the homily feel of the loft on a cold autumnal night. Everything one could wish for was provided and my girlfriend found a particular fondness for the twinings raspberry and cranberry tea. Just a five minutes drive from Litton you will come to one of many picturesque hamlets located throughout the resplendent Peak District called Tideswell. Here you can treat yourself to a wonderful breakfast at what became our favourite cafe, Nelly's, which provided the much needed nutrients before a day rambling across the rolling countryside. To my benefit I was provided with a welcome pack from Julie and Steve, which provided me with some much needed local knowledge. This afforded me with the basis to make informed decisions on where to take my lucky lady for her birthday meal. I settled on the Red Lion, a welcoming pub situated by the Litton green. Delicious, wholesome, Great British grub washed down with some Yorkshire brewed beer. A 200 yard walk back across the village green gets you back into the warmth of the Cotton Loft with all the creature comforts of wifi and freeview that city folk relish. The only downside to our stay was the bitter taste in our mouths once we had to leave and head back to the captial, where the inhabitants are not quite as friendly. Now I sit writing this passage I long for the Peak District and the Cotton Loft, where the air is much clearer and life much simpler.

My husband and myself stayed at the cotton loft for 2 nights and found it fantastic. The village of litton is lovely, with a lovely village pub and a village shop. If you want a good base to for 2 to explore the Peak District then the cotton loft is for you. The loft itself is exactly that, a loft over a garage but has been very tastefully done with a side entrance leading into a tiny kitchen and a lovely bathroom with a shower. It is spotless clean and very comfortable. We can't recommend the cotton loft highly enough. What a lovely little place. The owners are also really lovely and friendly. Thanks Steve and Julie, we will definitely be booking again soon.
We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Cotton Loft which is a very cosy, little studio in the lovely village of Litton. It is well located, beautifully looked after and very clean. The hosts Julie and Steve were very friendly and all the little touches in the apartment made for a lovely break. Highly recommend.
We had a great time at The Cotton Loft. Furnished to a high standard, clean inside and out, perfectly situated for Castleton, Chatsworth House and Heights Of Abraham. Julie and Steve are friendly and have made sure their guests are happy in The Cotton Loft. I recommend this property based on my experience of having a peaceful cosy long weekend. 5
