We stayed one night because it was close to family. Paid by cc in advance bit receipt from hotel was 35 dollars less than we paid. Painted brick walls. Tiny towels so asked for more. Musty. Bathroom needs degunge. Bed was comfortable. Receptionist pleasant and helpful. Would not stay again unless absolutely desperate.

I stayed in a standard room here for 2 weeks as I had business in the area. On average it was $100-$120 per night and in Sydney that's very good. There was everything you needed, a good size bed, TV, aircon, fridge, shower, breakfast, friendly staff and great location.
This place is somewhere you would stay if on a business trip not leisure - but in saying that you won't be in the room much during your stay there is nothing wrong with this place once again. Sure you might find a bit of dust or a bit of regrouting needed in some cases but I would stay here again.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for and for this rate, I am happy.

Booked this place because we could book and prepay for a carpark. On arrive we found they had double booked both the carpark and our prepaid delux rooms (no refund) Ended up with no carpark and had to circle blocks to find one that had to be vacated early in the morning. Our standard room was so small that the door could only be partially opened and smelled strongly of mould. The amount of dirt and dust on picture railings, above tile work and bedind the lamp stand was beyond concerning- whenwas this place CLEANED!?. will never recommend this place to anyone- looks, smells and sounds like a cheap hostel- but we paid premium prices

Booked and paid for 2 nights including parking. Was told secure parking. On arrival no parking left, was told to try again for the next night. Parking is not at the Hotel but at some dodgy block of units some 4 houses up the road. Very limited street parking elsewhere. ( all timed. ).
Rooms are tiny , stayed in a standard room , couldnt open the door completely open as it hit the bed . Walls are paper thin, can hear a conversation or any other noise in the room next door without any problem. Hotel advertises Foxtel, limited channels and pictures are that distorted that you cannot watch anything. Although a non smoking room, upon entry a slight stale cigarette smell could be smelt.
Was told on arrival of a buffet breakfast for the next morning, went to have breakfast the next day which is an assortment of some cereals, toast and a few juices with tea or coffee .
The entire place is badly in need of a renovation !.

We had a 12 day stay so booked a deluxe room so that we had plenty of room, which we did. Owners are clearly trying to improve the property. Nice large television, comfortable bed, good sanitary ware. But with a little more TLC it could be even better. Some re grouting in the shower and dusting in less obvious places would not go amiss (and increased our rating). We found reception staff to be helpful and the breakfast (if you took it) perfectly adequate. Location was great for us, you could walk into central Sydney or use the bus which stopped across the street. Also the North Sydney Hotel (which is a pub), 2 minutes walk away, was good for evening food. But, in this expensive city we thought it value for money. Hotel wifi's are normally expensive, so joined Stanton local library down the road for free access there.

booked "superior" room. Hate to see "standard' No telephone, 3 rooms paid $5 per hr for wifi which didn't work, no refunds or apology.our room was very small But why we would never stay again . The building is very old and is a high fire risk with no organised escapes & partially blocked corridors
No visible fire precautions at all

This hotel is incompently run. I made my booking last year for the Christmas / New Year period and it now doesn't exist. I'm apparently on awaiting list. To add insult to injury, the manager and the owner did not accept any responsibility for their lack of communication and basically told me it was my fault for not confirming. We were never told that we were meant to confirm. The girl who took our booking made us understand that it was booked. Can't believe how rude some people can be particularly when they're in the service industry!
