It's only too often that things turn out to be not quite what they seem, but that certainly isn't the case here. With breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the bridge this really is an ideal stopover location.
The breakfasts are well presented and I can certainly vouch for the in room catering. Just thing thing after a trip or long day at the office.
The staff have always been most helpful and obliging.
Whilst directly above the approach to North Sydney station, you do become accustomed to the trains, but they do not run all night. I find them quite therapeutic actually?

Room Tip: Rooms above 8th are quietest from train noise. I believe there are 2 rooms per floor without a harbour view, but I was advised of these when booking.

Stayed here for a week on business. View spectacular over Luna Park towards the bridge. really interesting to have a glass partition as one of the walls between the bathroom and rest of the room, still got to see the bridge while you showered.
some great eateries within a short walk of the hotel. If you don't feel like exploring then eat in or enjoy a relaxing drink at the bar. Only downfall for me was the bed was too soft, with a view like the one I had from the eleventh floor it was easy to negate this one area. The staff were all delightful and the hotel overall gets a big tick,

Room Tip: Anything that over looks the harbour

We stayed at the hotel for two nights on our introduction to Australia. The rooms were large and perfectly well equipped. Our twin room had two double beds per room with en-suite. Don't forget to draw the blinds in your bathroom (large picture window directly into the bedroom!) Fantastic views of the Bridge, fantastic rail links and a nice walk to the ferry if you prefer to go by water. The staff were friendly and efficient and the price was really reasonable. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: All rooms have view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge

I stay here on a regular basis for work and I have never had a bad thing to say about it. The staff are very friendly and quick to help, the rooms are spotless and the view and happy hour are second to none. As it is directly above North Sydney train station, you can imagine that you will hear the trains, but it isn't as bad as you think.

Room Tip: The higher you go, the less likely you will hear the trains

The view is undoubtably as good as it gets. The train line is directly underneath the hotel in a tunnel which vibrates the noise throughout the entire building, we were on level 13 and could still hear it, this didn't bother us though. Breakfast was average. Staff are incredibly nice. Food at the restaurant is good but extremely over priced, not much to do in North Sydney so it's a bonus the hotel is close to a train line, if driving expect to pay tolls travelling to the other side of Sydney.

I probably wouldn't return, definitely better hotels in Sydney for the same price.
