If you are considering visiting Sydney this is a very good choice. The rooms are comfy and spacious and most importantly very clean. My room on the eleventh floor had a walk in shower which was very good and modern. In the bedroom there is a picture window with fantastic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Between 5.30 and 6.30 p.m. there is a happy hour in the main bar which is welcome as I found Sydney quite expensive. The North Sydney Train Station is a few hundred yards from the hotel which is convenient but passes underneath which is not. I was initially given a lower room on the fourth floor but did not stay there five minutes as a train passed under and was so noisy. Trains run late into the night and early in the morning so beware. If noise does not effect you then no problem; for me it is so I asked and was moved to the eighth floor. I stayed in this room two days but I found this was still quiet noisy; by chance the financial director of the hotel introduced himself one morning and enquired about my opinion of the hotel I indicated that rooms, staff, cleanliness, linens, towels, beds, service were great but the noise from the trains was a block to me sleeping. I was immediately offered a move which I accepted and changed to the 11th floor on the other side of the hotel which was great; better views and very little noise. I tried the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was very good but slightly expensive although it is good value. Get a weekly rail transport card and you can travel on buses, trains, light rail and ferries for the one price. I really liked this hotel which is in a business district and socially quiet after office hours. The area was safe and there is a convenience store nearby. In balancing costs location and requirements with transport this is a very good choice. Finally, I met with the GM Stuart who was charming, very efficient and knew of my move for noise reasons and was concerned with the quality of my stay. This is not my usual experience and I was impressed with the attention to detail of a senior manager.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor; the highest as the train noise and vibration can be intrusive on lower floor...

The rooms provide a good view to harbour bridge, but thats the only good thing I can speak about the stay. The staff wasn't particularly helpful or friendly, room was right above railway track and request to change was met with a stern "no room available" and cancellation was rejected (we will charge you no matter what...). Finally at checkout, there was confusion as the person was asking to charge my CC while the accomodation was booked with chargeback option clearly stated and communicated. The staff can do a lot better, and while I understand that they can't move the railway track, the least they can do is smile a bit and be polite.

Room Tip: If you have a choice, avoid rooms right above railway tracks or book on higher floors, unless you en...

Clean, recently renovated rooms, nearly all with beautiful views of the bridge and city. Handy bar downstairs - $3 happy hour, welcome drinks for guests on Wednesday evenings. Convenient location for North Sydney business travellers - very close to North Sydney Station. Only issue can be the noise of the trains that travel beneath the building - rooms from floors 7 and up are less affected. Friendly efficient staff.

Room Tip: Try to get a room above the 7th level where the train noise is less.

Despite your records "after system" changes showing me as having visited your Hotel 15 times, I have in fact visited more than 20 times, many for in excess of 3 days.

Despite my room specifications on file indicating higher floors or advice if this is not possible, I was booked into a 2nd floor room very recently.

Despite my Room service request being placed at 18:00 tonight, it was only received 2hrs and 15 minutes later after having to call a manager to intervene.

You need to do better Stuart to retain my business and that of the corporate team of mh organisation that frequents your establishment. Merely providing me with an Orange tub of kids sweets when I arrive and a note welcoming me back does not equate to excellent or even good customer service.

The service currently being received is unacceptable

Room Tip: Do not accept a room on anything lower than 8th floor. The noise and the vibrations from the trains...

I've stayed here a few times before for business, this time I was in room 1314 on the 13th floor. Good views, tidy room and clean bathroom. Internet was reliable. The train noise was a bit of a nuisance but I heard some in my group moved to a room in the other wing and weren't bothered so much. Breakfast buffet was average with a mixture of cooked and continental. There is one restaurant and one bar which has a pretty good daily happy hour. There are a few restaurants and bars close by but some aren't open some nights or on Sundays. It is close to the North Sydney train station so easy to get to the city.

Wow, the view is to die for! Look back at the bridge and the lights of this awesome city. If your looking for a place to stay and enjoy Sydney, pick this hotel! Train travel from the airport takes you into Central and connect to the north Sydney train. It's not hard it's great fun! You travel over the bridge and you arrive at North Sydney. $15 is all it is, it's safer than a taxi! Do yourself a favour and take your own pics of Sydney.

We stayed here for the Vivid festival and it was probably the best choice we made. Easy access to the city by train or ferry (near Luna park) . Lot better value than staying in the city plus secure parking. The room looked recently renovated. Word of advice the hotel is above the railway line so get a room as high as you can. No noise just a little vibration occasionally. The breakfast buffet was one of the best anywhere and whilst a little expensive for full buffet at $29 , definitely worth the money. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. In short we are planning to stay here when we next visit Sydney.
