Description: On the food side, the emphasis is on good quality, seasonal produce and, wherever possible, we source it locally. We are delighted to have been awarded an AA rosette for our food. Our breakfast menu includes Newmarket sausages, Suffolk bacon, our own hen’s eggs and smoked salmon from the smokery at our sister pub. We love Sunday lunch and offer a great roast – bring the family or meet up with friends and catch up on your week.

“Excellent food, very busy so slower than normal.”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Ive eaten here before for lunch summer 2012, and myself, the girlfriend and in laws went for a birthday meal. It was busy as there was a huge party of 18 next to us but very friendly and even gave our table birthday cake but we did feel as thought we were left waiting for longer for meals. Had a "while you wait" nibbles and it took 45 mins but once we got that the rest came in very good time and food was brillliant. Will definitely be going again soon.

“AVERAGE AT BEST”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Just returned from my first visit to the Cadogan When walking in you notice how few tables there are and how much room you do have when sat down Nice big open fire , nice wooden floors and comfortable seating also welcome you However my starter of breaded spare ribs although cooked well were bland at best the BBQ source had little or no taste , my main meal a burger was homemade and struggled to make an impression on the plate let alone my palate with home made chips that you could count on the fingers of one hand . My wife had the roast beef that was full of fat and gristle and had to leave half of it . Needless to say we did not stay for the desert

“Decent menu choose and quality”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We hadn't been to Cadogan for a couple of years as our last experience underwhelmed us with the quality of the service and the average food. This visit was much improved. The menu choice we found quite wide as well as being complimented with specials. A nice little touch is nibbles whilst with your pre-dinner drink. My husband had Brancaster mussels off the specials as a starter which he complimented. I had duck pie which was really tasty with good meat and a variety of herbs. My husband had pork dingly dell which he said was ok, could have been a bit more pork and a bit too much mash (I think he was just jealous as he liked the taste of mine). We then finished with chessboard which offered a nice 3 cheese variety. The reason we did not give a 5 star was that the attendance throughout was thin, although our meals were good, that was never checked by the serving staff and again they were slow to take our order or indeed sort out our 1st drink and wine order. Finally their attendance at the end was poor, they could be heard chatting around the corner and not attending to their diners and in the end my husband got fed up and went to the bar to pay the bill. That was the only downside but we will definitely return

“Will come again”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

Saturday lunch for a family party. Not much space in bar for a big party but once we got to our table fantastic. Spacious dining room, attentive staff, good food.

Not rushed in anyway despite the last ones left in the dining room at nearly 4pm!
