We booked here because Quarry Walk wouldn't accept under 25's and the Star Caravan site was pathetically strict.
We arrive already having paid in full, found out where we needed to pitch up and set up.
The "campsite" is a field/hill that has been allocated for camping. Just what you need, open fresh air, great views and quiet. Barely any traffic..... The showers, let's just say that they were an experience and not for the faint hearted.
So close to Alton Towers it's good for a getaway..... But wasn't our first choice.

Just recently came back from a four night stay at the raddle inn we found it very enjoyable, comfortable and clean. The kids loved the stay, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax in the evening. Location was perfect very peaceful and not to far to travel for the days out we had planned. Overall we had a great time and would defaintly go back again

what a weekend, we got there sat aft, the family pitched up, we plugged in our motorhome,
there was a little mix up about were we pitched? we had paid for electiric, but they needed the field for a Jubilee weekend event, of which we wasn't told when booking, as there was no other
electric we were allowed to stay put, with no real objection, it was a very wet sunday, but we made the most of it, the staff, and the food at the Raddle Inn were wounderful (spot on) and the portions were more than adequate,"loved the chips" ***** to the chef :-) had a lovely walk on the monday ( Jubilee 4th june 2012), "there's some nice walks around" the evening was great, there were two bands, a lazer light beacon show, and the fire works were, Amazing, we were pleasantly supprised we enjoyed it at our age, it was great, every one was so freindly, the staff and the locals, and visitors alike, yes the toilets and showers are a little basic, and the roads are a little narrow, (thats country life) but the veiws, the food, and the friendliness of all, made up for it, one again we thank you, and we will be returning, Pam & Paul from Leeds, West Yorks.

I want you to understand that i never review places. Ever.

Honestly, i have never had such good customer service in my life. the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We all enjoyed excellent meals and pints at quite reasonable prices. We had the choice of sitting in the shaded beer garden next to the inn or across the road where we could bask in the sun.

Its secluded and quiet, yet close enough to civilisation if needs arise. also within a relatively close proximity of alton towers, so you can get shot of the kids for a couple of days for some well earned peace and quiet!

Next time i travel down that neck of the woods, i wouldn't even consider staying somewhere else.

Saturday 5th May 2012 I had chosen to stay at "The Rocks Cottage - Raddle Inn" for 2 nights with 9 girl friends.

After reading reviews from previous guests I was a bit cautious on whether to cancel the stay or not.

Thankfully I listened to my heart and went ahead with the plans.
I really was more than satisfied with the self catering cottage.

The cottage sleeps 10 in total, 2 comfy sofa beds in the ground floor, 2 double bed bedrooms (one with a kingsize 4 poster and the remaining room with a bunkbed.

The bathroom is rather spacious as well as the rooms throughout the cottage.

There is a dining room with a table that seats 10, living room with a rather big tv and open fire for the cold nights.

If you are staying during winter periods you should not have to worry as the heating works perfectly.

Many things were provided such as cutlery, a few towels bedding for the sofa beds, even a hoover.

The whole weekend we were not disturbed by anyone. If you were to have difficulty or questions with anything inside/ outside the cottage it was just a 1-2 minute walk across from the cottage to ask a member of staff from The raddle inn.

Also one of the perks as to why I chose to stay at The Rocks Cottage with the girls was the fact that it included an 8 person jacuzzi (which we squeezed in 10). No matter how cold you think you will be once out, I suggest you give it a go! The girls and I could not believe how hot and relaxing the jacuzzi really was. (After a day of running wild on the rides at Alton Towers it was a perfect way to relax before bed time)

PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
THE ROCKS COTTAGE IS A GEM AND I SHALL BE RETURNING!!

Many thanks Raddle inn....
:)

Stayed for 1 night on Saturday and had an OK time. Tried to book again for July to be told minimum 2nts. We booked last week for 1nt what's the problem? We spent a fortune in the pub anyway and as the née booking was for a birthday celebration we no doubt would have spent a fortune again. Oh well if £150 for the room and approx £160 on food and drink is too low for 1 night then I'll spend somewhere else.
