I was a participant in a ladies luncheon at Azalea, a family run restaurant in this small village. Our host Fernando and his wife Rubi (excellent chef) were friendly and professional, the ambience excellent as was the delicious food served. Apart from the indoor facility, there was a covered (grapevine!) veranda and a patio which served as dining areas too.

They have their own website: www.azalearestaurante.es and there is a translation available should anyone not be fluent in Spanish.

Regarding Norman C's review: similarly we live over the mountain, and have passed this restaurant on numerous occasions. TODAY, we stopped for lunch. We had the Menu del Dia, and sat in the very tasteful garden terrace (complete with fountain). The food was perfect, presentation superb, and the welcome from the owners was second to none. This restaurant deserves excellent write-ups, but hopefully, (as per Norman C's comment) we will be able to 'get in' in the future!

Although we have lived just over the mountain and within 8 Km of this restaurante it is to our shame that we never sampled it before.
Last night 2 of our friends took us there. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, his wife and delightful waitress and asked if we would like to see the garden terrace before our meal. The terrace is really charming with very attrictive views of the nearby mountain.
The interior of the restaurante has a charmingly warm feel to it and is spotless.
We all had their "Menu", priced at just €9.50. The a-la-carte menu seemed to have an excellent choice at very reasonable prices.
There is a really wide choice within the "Menu" and the quality of the food and its presentation were of the highest standard.
We would strongly recommend it, but hope that it doesn't become so popular that we can't get in!

We have been going to this restaurant for some time now. It is owned by a husband and wife. The food is very good and varied. They don't tend to stick to the same menu which is good. And you always get a menu of the the day here. We have never had a bad meal.
