Description: Placed on the white powdery sands of L'anse Aux Epines Beach, The Beach Club at the Calabash offers the perfect lunchtime setting. British chef Mark Banthorpe fell in love with the island's flavours, and this love lead him to create an exciting menu focused on Grenada's natural ingredients and spices. Lunch is served between 12 noon - 3pm and "tapas" bites and cocktails available from 10.30am - 6.30pm everyday.

Love this restaurant. Food is amazing and must save room for dessert. The restaurant is modern and looks out over the beach. The staff are very nice with helpful advise.

“Attractive beach setting with refreshingly good food”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

The food is very fresh and current. Much of the island food is fried but Mark B serves locale and Caribbean cuisine with an upscale flare. Very nice for lunch. There seemed to be some tension between the servers which detracted from the ambience a bit.
The crowd is on the older side for the most part. There was a very good folk singer performing which was relaxing. You need to walk through the Calabash Hotel to get to the restaurant. The grounds are lovely but it makes everything a bit more formal then it needs to be for beach front dining.

“Where a Chef makes all the difference.”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Mark, the resturant's Chef, has overseen a major transformation, bringing a fresh approach to the menu, adding several 'tapas' dishes that can be shared or served as a main. Fresh local ingredients, and an inventive approach makes this wonderful spot a destination not to be missed. Open from the lunch hour til just before dusk.

“Stunning !”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

What a wonderful place : the location, view, decor, food........and more !

Mark has that magic touch that he has previously demontated at other fine restaurants on the island. He brings something different to wherever he is & that is so refreshing.

The Calabash can be quite pretentious - so lift your head up, walk right through to the beach & take a seat at Mark's 'Bash'. You'll be made so welcome & not want to leave.

The beach bar is not managed by Mark - but it would be a good move for the hotel managers to have their staff trained by him in the art of making guests feel comfortable !

The Bash is a great place to pass a couple of hours, after dropping your bags at the airport.
