Found this pub by looking for 'Dog Friendly' places. Such a warm and friendly welcome. Our two Springer Spaniels were given a biscuit each (after confirming with us that it was ok). We both ordered a roast beef dinner. It was scrumptious. All home made with fresh ingredients. We'll be back next time we visit Black Rock Sands.

Nice friendly landlady, food was very good value, and served quickly although they were busy with a quiz night. The locals were all very friendly towards us.

We stayed about 2 miles from this wonderful friendly village pub, and visited on the first day of our holiday. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the great food so much that we visited again most days throughout our stay.
The staff made is feel like part of the community, as did all the locals, who were always ready to chat with my wife and I and our 2 children and to talk about our day. The locally sourced freshly cooked food is of very high quality and is remarkable good value with most main courses under £12. There are always 2 different real ales available which are exceptionally well kept. All together one of the best pubs I have had the pleasure of visiting in quite some time.

Came across the pub by chance, followed a brown sign from main road as the place we were staying had poor choice of eating options. We were NOT disappointed. The food was cooked from scratch using local ingredients of the highest quality. Had chicken, ham and leek pie - it was the most flavoursome pie I have eaten along with the creamy mash. The hosts and the locals made us feel so welcome, we did not want to leave. http://www.crossfoxesinn.co.uk/

This is a great little traditional village pub/restaurant with a walm welcome from the owners. After a hard days work one of their guest Welsh Ales and a nice glass of wine was most welcome! My husband had the pie and I had the fish and chips and both were lovely. They have a pretty beer garden with kids swings and they accept dogs! Liz the owner told us they do Skittles parties as well which is a real novel idea!

Highly Recommended
