Lovely food, good quality and quanity. I would highly reccomend the lasagne . Locally sourced produce. Barman was friendly and accomodating. Great place to take the kids. Much better quality than the average pub food and only a pound or two more expensive.

We stopped on bank holiday monday hoping for a meal as we had not booked..we were welcomed & shown to a table. Waitresses were lovely & couldn't do enough for us. I had a Lasagne that was delicious & home made that could have fed 2 people .all side dishes were included also. We shall be back on a regular basis!

Lovely meal, generous portions, could not fit in a dessert ! Starters of Brie in breadcrumbs and the prawn cocktail were excellent. The braised lamb was very tender and tasty (however would have gone for braised beef if it had been available). A very generous portion of duck (half), however if I had to be critical, it was slightly on the dry side.
A very comprehensive menu with plenty of choices to suit every palette. Highly recommended, but thought that the drinks of a pint of cider and a half of lager slightly expensive.

My family had a meal here which was first rate in terms of quality and all at a reasonable price. There was a service hiccup on the night which does not seem to be the norm and to his credit, the proprietor has been in personal contact to discuss the issue in detail. I feel that this approach to customer service was superb and has far outweighed our original grumble. Top marks to Dion; confidence restored andd would now confidently recommend.
